As long as they leave the TakeOvers on the Network, I think that's a smart move. Gets them more exposure for the brand. FS1 has been averaging 3-4 million viewers for the World Cup games. I don't know how many homes they reach, but that viewership number is double the number of WWE Network subscribers. I'm pretty sure FS1 has an app for streaming devices and you can watch it on Sling. Plus, NXT stars will work matches around commercial breaks, which is something to help them transition to Raw and Smackdown. Seems like a big exciting step for the NXT roster.

On one hand, I think this is great for them. It will add tons of exposure and bring in so many more fans. Great business move.
On the other, I liked NXT being our own lil secret. It was an inside joke only we got. And if someone can’t give ten bucks to WWE, screw em, cause it’s worth so much more.
But yeah, good move if it happens.

Keep giving me more reasons not to keep the network sub. Fine by me. They get closer and closer to saving me $10 bucks a month every day.

As long as they keep it on the Network in the UK, I don't mind. If they did move it off the Network in the UK as well, that would piss me off.

Being that FS1 is a sports show they might not have to change the way they run it. If it was on USA network, NXT would probably change for the worse.

It simply says a weekly airing of NXT. It does not mention it's being taken off the Network at all.
“Sources tell us there have been discussions in regards to a weekly airing of NXT on Fox Sports 1 … however, we’ve been unable to verify if this is a plan that’s already set in stone.”

As long as it doesn't bring any major changes to the way it's written and produced, I see no problems with it. If it's the same product it has always been, what does getting more eyes on it hurt?

As long as it doesn't bring any major changes to the way it's written and produced, I see no problems with it. If they're depending on it to draw significant ratings, there will be changes. Right now, it's very geared as the hardcore internet brand with no pressures of viewership - once that changes, the show will become a different beast. Triple H has always been clear that NXT has a very different niche than the real shows... But a move like this probably wouldn't be his decision. And heck, maybe they wouldn't put too much pressure on it in an FS1 slot.

This is making me think of the great days of TNA on FSN.

This is making me think of the great days of TNA on FSN. I remember not knowing it was on and came home late from work, flipping thru the channels when I got home. wow it was great when I saw it for the first time. I think it came on really late here. I'd like for NXT to be on TV every week, cuz I don't have the network..

This is what UFC does, keeps creating new programming...on TV. I totally get the exposure, absolutely. But UFC supposedly wanted to put more focus on their streaming service, too, but they keep making all the new programming for FOX or even for YouTube for free! If WWE starts going this direction as well, they will quickly start to give people a reason to stop subscribing to the network. But also, NXT is special because of how it is presented. If they start putting it on TV, WWE will want to start to alter it to match the presentations of RAW and SmackDown, which would be the completely wrong direction to go for that brand. It would be very disappointing to see this happen because I think we all know what that would mean if it did.

Fort people paying $10 a month to see it exclusively on the Network, offering it on free TV would lower the significance of the subscription.

Also, it was offered on Hulu Plus for years alongside the Network, and put on TV in other countries, so it's not like it was ever a total Network exclusive. They'd still be getting the Takeovers, which likely wouldn't be shown on FS1.
