Damn just 38 years old. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
RIP Mr. Cappotelli.

Such sad news! I was hoping he'd live until at least wrestlemania where he'd get the Warrior award! Maybe he still will. I've read a few wrestlers comment on his passing. I hope Bob Holly doesn't have the nerve to say anything. Not only because of Tough Enough, but Matt was supposed to debut on the main roster, but got injured by Bob at a house show before Matt could. So condolences from Mr Holly won't mean crap! RIP Matt Cappottelli! He needs to be a posthumous Warrior Award winner for sure. He embodied it.

Well, I suggest you watch some of his Tough Enough stuff and YouTube his OVW work. RIP to Matt, may he rest in peace. His suffering is over. May his family smile at the good times and memories of him.

“Life is the most precious gift we’re given,” Capotelli said in 2017. “If I can inspire others to not give up on the life they’ve been blessed to have, that’s what I’m trying to spread – hope.”
I'd say that statement pretty much sums up what a good person he was. Part of his thinking in fighting the cancer, was so he could give hope, to others having the same battle. The guy was facing something in his life, that not many would blame him for being selfish, and just caring about himself, and turned it into, ok, how can my fight, also help others as well. I really do think Lance Storm was right, if we had more people like Cappotelli, this world would be a lot better place.

R.I.P. Matt. True embodiment of a fighter. My condolences to his wife and family. Hard to fathom someone a couple years younger than me being ripped away so early. Of course as many of you have seen as well, i have seen how cancer ravages you physically. He deserves to rest easy after so much pain. Godspeed Matt.

Word is, WWE is strongly considering giving Matt The Warrior award this year. I'd be a nice final moment for a career that was taken away before it could truly begin.
