I placed a Ringside order just now to take advantage of the free shipping (and give that poor Damaged Baron Corbin figure a home rofl) and noticed something concerning.
Are the female figures losing ankle and torso articulation? There's a Bayley and Natalia figure where the pics show they have solid ankles and chests. Is this a new direction they're taking? How is the build quality and articulation on current female figs? The latest one I got was the first Asuka.

Thanks for confirming. They look like bootlegs now, like the Chinese knockoffs that have less articulation. I won't be buying new ones anymore then, but I'll pick up the older figs dirt cheap to customize.

The chest joint was always worthless on the female figures, I'm glad it's gone. The removal of the ankle joint provides an overall cleaner look, especially on figures, male or female, with kickers that have deco.

I just wish the women figures would be given new hands and and actual wrist joint like the male figures.
The current hands they use for the women are not good.

The removal of articulation was done to keep the current price point they said at SDCC. Maybe they factored in the cost of the more realistic face scan technology. Interesting as In the UK, some stores are selling basics at £14.99 if that is the current rrp, and if it is then other bigger chains selling basics for £10 we should be mighty thankful for.

Yeah, the Basics lost articulation some time in 2017. I saw the Dolph Ziggler version of Lana (you know, the denim outfit; back of the package said 2017) semi-recently at Lot Less and immediately noticed the lack of torso torsion and thigh twisting. yep i totally forgot about the new basics, picked up Dana's latest and its basically a statue compared to her previous figure I've got like 5 extra 2016 Danas with the extra articulation...

I have her pervious one too, the new one they gave her bigger arms and torso and legs, so it looks a lot more like here, but just can't bend much haha

I may have to pick up the thiccer Dana, even if she is more limited movement-wise.
At which series did the female basics stop having full articulation? I may just buy a cheap old Sasha or AJ Lee and make a "definitive" Alexa.

I’m worried too. But only about that Wendi richter figure. I wish we got some news at sdcc about when or if she would be released. At first I wasn’t too pleased with having to buy the other two but now I don’t care I just want her in my collection.
