Daniel Bryan should be the guy imo. Have Styles hold onto the WWE Title til WM35, then give us Styles vs Bryan. I think we’re getting Bryan vs. Joe, after Daniel Bryan wins the Royal Rumble. Thats what I would want to happen.

As much as I really would love to see Joe with a WWE title run.... Leave the belt on AJ. Give him a legitimate "record" run with it. As long as Bryan re-signs, build Bryan up...he doesn't have to win the Rumble next year although that would be great, especially if they had it come down to Bryan & Miz as the final 2, with Bryan throwing Miz out. Then you give Bryan the ultimate moment by having him defeat AJ at Wrestlemania next year. Bryan can now have his proper run with the WWE title that he never got. if Bryan doesn't re-sign, then give the belt to Joe at some point in the near future, just keep AJ near the main event. I feel like Summerslam is gonna be an amazing match between these 2 I usually agree with what you post, but why would you want Joe to hold the WWE championship? He seems so overrated to me... let me preface by saying back when Joe was in ROH and even into his initial TNA run, i flat out could not stand the guy. people praised him back then like he was the greatest wrestler to ever walk the planet. "he can move for a big guy!" is the phrase i always heard. i hated his stupid beaded necklace, and while i did acknowledge the guy was a good worker, the fact that he was soooo overly praised just kind of soured me on him fast forward to his WWE debut & run, and even the last few years in TNA he changed my mind. and people also settled down on him. Joe is a great wrestler. Very athletic for a "fat guy", he's on par with Owens...in fact those two together in a faction thing could have been amazing. And Joe's strongest point to me is that compared to a lot of guys on the roster he is VERY good at promos. Material aside, he sells it. You believe what he's saying, he doesnt come across like he's reading 13 year old garbage writing. I've enjoyed his mic work alot, and his ring work is crisp. The guy has busted his ass for over a decade in this business. He's done a lot of things and he's a damn good wrestler. He has the ability to have great matches with a lot of guys and I think he & AJ (if they are allowed to) will tear the house down at Summerslam. Plain and simple, I think after all Joe has done in the business and for how well he has performed especially under the WWE umbrella, he deserves to have WWE Champion on his resume when he's done.

While he is way above everybody else, and as much as I love him as Champion and being represented as the best, I do worry that such a lengthy run will just stale him out eventually. AJ Styles vs Daniel Bryan is the legitimate dream match, but in reality the better programme would be a dominant heel Samoa Joe as Champion vs Daniel Bryan. I could also see them using that as their 'David vs Goliath' feud for Wrestlemania since they will be too scared to ever do Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan.
However, I tend to agree that the best way to go would be to have AJ Styles lose it to The Miz to add even more heat to him, with the bigger picture being The Miz vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 35. AJ Styles vs Kenny Omega would hopefully be the non-title Wrestlemania Match for AJ.

If Joe is the guy that will take the belt off AJ, have him do it at Summerslam.
AJ chasing Joe is much more of an entertaining story than AJ beating Joe and Joe having rematch after rematch after rematch like Nakamura did, but the only difference is having Joe eventually win it in his 2nd or 3rd shot which wouldn't be as cool as winning it on his first try.
If Joe is not going to be the one to defeat AJ, keep the belt on AJ and have him face Bryan at Mania.
If Bryan isn't with the WWE at that time, well I guess AJ might just be closing in on those 434 days.

I would have AJ hold on to it until Mania. Accomplishes a few things.
AJ can go past Punks reign as longest reigning champion of this era. AJ can still have solid feuds with guys between now and Mania (Joe from for a few months, Orton for a few months, a few off months — i.e. Survivor Series Champion vs. Champion)
Then I would go one of two directions, if Daniel Bryan sticks around have Bryan vs. Styles at Mania 35. Or if Bryan doesn't stick around then id have Rollins win the Rumble and switch brands to Smackdown to challenge AJ for the WWE Title. (Monday Night Rollins is a good gimmick but he'll be overshadowed as long as Roman is on Raw. Plus Smackdown will start needing some bigger stars to add on to AJ once they switch to Fox next year.)

I don't care who takes the belt off of Styles just as long as it happens because his reign has blown chunks.

I think he should have the belt for 5 years. I don’t think I would get board of him as champion.

Now to think, Orton having one more run wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
