Honestly, she's done nothing but shine as far as I'm concerned. She's only had 4 matches! Let that sink in. She hasn't been on the indies for 10 years. She didn't train in NXT for years. She's new to this. And IMO pretty good for being a newbie. She seems to have more than enough respect and passion for the business to give this her all. Her name still holds value and brings attention to WWE. I see no reason to bash her. Give it time. Give her time.
Exactly this! I wonder, did Kurt Angle go through the same hate and crap Ronda’s getting? Seems like all people wanna do is hate and see people successful in other forms of sports or entertainment fail in others. No, the internet wasnt near as prevalent back then.

Kurt brought technical wrestling to the Attitude Era which was full of brawlers and he never failed to entertain. He worked endlessly when he joined and proved to be deserving of everything he achieved. As far as Rousey goes I don't hate her and I don't want her to flop but I've never watched UFC so she is no draw for me, well not yet. However you also have to realise that their are lots of non UFC fans out there who have supported the WWE Women's division so can you blame them for being angry if Rousey walks in and get the title while other women who have worked their asses off get pushed to the side? If her opponents get offence during her matches fine I will be happy but I don't want everyone of them to be like Summerslam.

Sasha said...
"I'm ready for her," Banks said on wanting to face Rousey. "Especially knowing her now I would be more than happy to have a match with her. I think she's awesome I think we could make magic together and I have don't have anything bad to say about her.
"When I first found out that she was going to come [to WWE] I was like 'ugh we don't need that taking away from what we're doing but she helps so much, she works so hard. She always wants to learn and she loves it and respects it, and you know, I appreciate that. She works very hard."

So far she’s done good in my opinion
HHH/Steph vs Kurt/Ronda - was stunned watching it because it stole the show
Ronda vs Nia - Was there in person and thought she did a good job selling for Nia
Rousey vs Fox - Honestly wasn’t a fan, one of the worst main events in raw history
Rousey vs Bliss - I saw countless people saying Bliss stood no chance and then when it ended up being a squash match people complained. Like what did you expect, Bliss is a chicken heel that finally got her ass kicked

This is a terrible comparison, Kurt wasn't handed everything after his first few matches. He did have an undefeated streak but lost it to Taz and didn't he wrestle a whole year before winning any title?

Probably a lot of times - just like the NXT Four Horsewomen used to with their Takeover matches. Who cares how many times a match or promo is rehearsed? The old “call it in the ring” guys hated Savage vs Steamboat because Randy had scripted it all move for move. It’s still remembered as one of the classic WrestleMania matches.

Ronda has also wrestled on a few house shows but those matches were mostly learning on the job.

AJ has, and Kurt himself did so on Table of 3. They'd know far more than any of us. Kurt won the European & IC titles at the same time and then WWE champion all within his first year/year and a half in the business. Some could even argue they had more talent and more to lose back then.

The only problem (and its a huge one IMO) with comparing Angle to Ronda is the fact Angle trained for wrestling for an entire year going through WWE's developmental system before making his main roster debut. Ronda was signed in Jan and champ by August. I like Ronda and I think she COULD be a great wrestler but the company pushing her this fast when she literally cant wrestle a match...its just a bad decision.

She's the female Brock Lesnar we were all pumped for his return and her debut but over time we will sour as we have with Lesnar.

To be fair, even with the Olympics, Ronda is a bigger name than Kurt was. And it's been reported that Ronda had a lot to do with the Fox TV deal. Much like Angle, her name brings legitimacy to your company. So it only makes sense to why you would want her being promoted as your champion.

Absolutely she is headed for a fall. She's at the top. The only place left for her to go is down.

Women have one title, and Ronda won it after four matches.

right now Rhonda's wrestling looks awkward. It sort of reminds me in a way of Charlotte in NxT but I think Rousey is moving faster. I think she's picking it up pretty well for the time that she's been in WWE. By WM I think you would be able to see this massive improvement from one year of training.
Now, if they don't do this horsewomen vs horsewomen match, or even if they do, They could have Shayna Bazler turn on Rousey and set up some interesting matches. They could have Bazler acting mad because she had to work her way thru NxT while Rousey got the silver spoon on the main roster.

Ronda is incredibly sloppy, and I've hated her since before her first loss in MMA.
Personally, I can't wait until she tries one of those judo snap throws on Stephanie and injures her badly. Then, you'll be seeing her dancing and jiving with a reunited Tons of Funk or Oddities, or perhaps trying to cover up on air flatulence. It's amazing that Foxy, Bliss, and Steph haven't been injured by her yet.
Any comparison to Angle is ridiculous: First, Angle spent a year or so training. Second, Angle wasn't hot shotted to the top of the division. Third, Angle could speak and cut promos without looking constipated when he wanted to look serious.
She's more like Ken Shamrock at this point in terms of in ring ability. Ken forgot where he was in a match against Vader and hit him legit. I imagine because she is barely trained that she'll one day synch in an armbar, and snap it because she forgot what sport she is in.
