If you want to break up a double play, you slide hard. Pujols has ing glass hehs for legs, though, so he probably refuses to slide unless he really, really has to.

How can you hate Pujols? Hes legit one of the best PEOPLE in the game and players I'm not trying to start a whole steroids debate, or even accuse Pujols of taking them/trash him as a whole... but with hgh, which might I add Pujols' trainer was linked to at some point if I'm remembering right, anything is possible. That being said, I like Pujols, but I can see why some people wouldn't. I can't really trust many of the major sluggers in baseball not to of used something at some point anymore though... especially with how undetectable HGH is apparently. I know you're innocent until proven guilty, but there's plenty of obvious steroid users that phrase applies for too. About the only MAJOR power hitter of my generation I can say has never touched anything, is Ken Griffey Jr... I don't think his body has changed one bit. With everyone else, I'm always weary... especially now with HGH.

pujols just has a huge ing ego about himself. whining when he didn't get the mvp and when he didn't play in the all-star game and putting glavine down for no particular reason. and then there's the fact that he's probably lying about his age and as nick pointed out could be taking hgh or some crap. I have heard from many fans that Brandon Phillips is a complete class act off the field and he is someone who works hard on it but still visably has a lot of fun. He's always taken 100% responsibility for not turning key double play balls, Pujols tried to hurt BP and that's real cheap.

During last nights Yankee Radio commentators John Sterling and Susan Waldmyn were still complaining about Chamberlin being ejected. I feel the ump made the right call, 2 pitches near a guys head is a disgrace, then nimrod Torre complains about the umpires doing it. The Yankees are a bunch of overpaid egos on one team ( surprised that Wang, Cano, and Cabrera haven't been traded yet), I respect what The Devil Rays are doing given their young stars a chance to shine with a few veterans in the mix. Yankees should be ashamed of themselves for holding down all that young talent....I mean, it's not like they have 20 year olds in the starting rotation.....whoops....but they are the Yankees. that doesn't count! They've had almost 40 games started by rookies this year.... but when you come up through the Yankee Farm system, they inject you with the DNA of killers and rapists, thus voiding your rookie status. The Red Sox are poor! They are GUTTY, GRITTY, UNDERPAID, AMERICAN MADE, BLUE COLLAR JOES JUST LIKE YOU AND ME! I mean my GOD! How can they survive on a payroll that is ONLY just a little less than $150,000,000!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure some of then use food stamps, if not go hungry all together! The 100+ million they spent on Dice-K and the 100+ million they spend on JD Drew and Julio Lugo was really monopoly money!!! The Red Sox should be commended for going outside the organization and bringing in talent! When those God damn bastard New York Yankees do it they are bringing in crooked players to be slimy hired guns!! The Red Sox are the paragons of virtue! Well I for one am switching sides after Laparka's convincing post! I am now a Red Sox fan and will always support them as they continue their quest to rid the world of hunger, poverty and pollution that has been caused by the New York Yankees! In fact, this country should change it's National Anthem in honor of the Boston Red Sox!!!! I'm sure they can solve the problems in Iraq, and probably fix the stock market, i mean come on the Red Sox do know how to MANAGE MONEY AND SURVIVE ON A VERY STRICT BUDGET! SWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEET CAROLINE! BA BA BA

SWWWWWWWWWWWWEEEEEET CAROLINE! BA BA BA Neither one of your post make sense. Im 50/50 on the Joba deal. The first pitch he and both sides should have been warned. That would have either A)stopped the 2nd pitch from happening or B)There wouldnt be any debate on why he was suspended. Should he have been kicked out? Yea. SHould he have been warned first? Yea. I just think the Ump should have warned first to prevent the 2nd from happening. Now about the yankees "starting rotation full of rookies" The onl reason 40 games were started by rookies is because our old timers or hired guns (Mussina, Igawa, Pavano) Couldnt cut the mustard. It has NOTHING to do with the fact we were calling up young talent from our farm system. If Moose, Igawa and Pavano never sucked then we would have never seen Joba, Huges or Ian, Clippard or DeSalvo

Anytime you question the Yankees, Lorenzo needs to bring up the Red Sox, Dan Shaughnessy, the Curt Schilling deal and his pen15
Even if you arent a Red Sox fan.

Lorenzo is a proud Yankee fan again... Again? I've always been a fan! Was I pissed off in April and May and MOST of June? Hell yeah I was, but as much as I voiced my displeasure I haven't missed a game all year. I may have doubted the teams chances and more than likely unrealistic things that would have had to happen to get them back into any kind of race. I said the Yanks are dead unless they play .750 ball after the break and go 30 -10...they put up a record close to that after the break. So any time you guys think I'm "giving up", I never didn't watch the games or stopped caring about the team....just because you get pissed off at poor performance and voice your frustrations doesn't mean you give up unless you stop watching the games. I haven't missed a game all season, so as much as I bitched, I'm there everyday watching these games, so if I gave up I'm sure I could find something better to do like at least jerk off or play video games.

There has been 3, you bitter bitter man It's not even a matter of being bitter... I don't know where that came from. That is an awesome achievement, and I congratulate him for it. The only one I remember from last season was that one Marlin's. All I'm saying is off the top of my head, I can think of the 3 that happened (Bucholz, Buehrle, Verlander), and 3 that were lost in the 9th (Schilling, Baker, that dude with the extreme sideburns in Toronto). Hell, even Carlos Silva took one into the 7th a few weeks back. The point I was trying to make had nothing to do with underminding his achievement. It was more to do with the fact that people complain everything in baseball has been done to help the hitter, but it looks like the pitchers have caught up so they should stop complaining. Way to take that the completely wrong way.
