Has anyone tried to outfit the Mattel Main Event ring (Goldberg/Jinder sets) with the NXT Upgrade Accessory Pack? I'm thinking it would make a cool techy NXT ring.
What do you think are some of the challenges I'll run into? I know the NXT skirts and mat are larger, so they'll have to be trimmed or tucked. Are the turnbuckles also different?
Maybe I can replace the RAW/SD "skirts" with clear plastic, and use waterslide decals or something to still let it light up.

Will work, but keep in mind that the lights for each ring is either red or blue. The lights are connected to the power source, so you would have to change the whole circuit.

You mean the LEDs in the box under the ring? Nuts, was hoping I could simply unsolder/resolder some white LEDs. The ringpost lights look like this could work at least. Also, I saw someone post a pic of this MER with an ASR skirt. Def have to do some trimming, but it looks like it neatly clamps onto the ring, so that's a relief. Edit: Oh yeah, the MER turnbuckles don't come off, and they're smaller than the ASR. I almost want to make a Lucha Underground ring, might be a simpler project haha

The ring aprons are fully removable. The cloth ones are part fo the ring mat. I used red gaff tape to turn my ring into a ROH ring. I used black gaff tape to cover the logo on the turnbuckles. The only issue I saw was maybe it could be tough to hook existing aprons to the giant ring posts. It could be done with some handy work.
