haha...it's Mattel figure related because I was selling a lot of Mattel figures recently on eBay, but feel free to move this if it's not the right forum.
To give you some context, I've been a member on eBay since 2001 and I have the absolute worst luck in selling, like if you were to make me sell an iPhone XS right now, I guarantee I will probably have to give the winner of my auction more money. Anyways, someone wins my auction for dirt cheap, no surprise there, I'm practically giving away my toys, and I get a message just now.
"Hey if it isn't too late, can I give you more money for this."
lol I'm stunned, I just had to laugh and share this crazy story =). Hmmm now I wonder if I'm just being trolled =/

That would only make more sense if it was a buyer who got outbid at the last second and really wanted the item and was willing to pay more. I can't lie, I did something like that many years ago on eBay but the seller rightfully declined my offer because he didn't want to screw over the winning buyer.

Maybe the buyer thought you would try to cancel since the price was so low? btw, the loose elite market feels really down compared to a few years ago.

The closest I’ve ever had to that was a guy throwing me $20 more to make sure the items were shipped with TLC. I accepted the money, bought some more bubble wrap and peanuts for him and a few others with the money. he gave positive feedback.

If its to good to be true it probably is. More than likely headed for a paypal scam. Where they pay more and then want a refund. It makes no sense why anyone would want to pay more for something than what an item sold for.
We dont go into a store and ask to pay more for our groceries...
