When I worked at a retail store before, they would never carry the WWE PPV DVDs, but we had the option to special order stuff for customers, even stuff that wasn't out yet, just to make sure we had at least 1 for that person when it came out. So the week before ever WWE PPV DVD came out, I'd get into the system and special order one for myself, and that would be the only one we'd get the day before it came out so I could buy it for myself. It doesn't seem Target has that kind of option, but I have to imagine there is a way we can get a store to order a case of a certain DCPI, or just some way we can get the figures to a store. As long as an employee is willing to go to the back, we can buy the figures. We just need them to be in-store first. Are there any Target employees here who can help us out in any way? Finding the HOC and NXT figures is one thing, but having to find the Pete Dunne figure when it finally comes out is going to be extra challenging!

When it comes to most big retail stores such as target and walmart the employees on the floor cant order much. At least that was the way when I worked for eother company. Your best bet is to ask a manager of the toy department.

I even saw signs in Target toy department yesterday that said something along the lines of "if there's anything you can't find, please let an associate know and we'll try to find it for you".

They don’t have a damn clue! I called my store yesterday to see if they had the Road Dogg figure, girl on the phone told me yes and it's on the floor. I go there, and it's the exact same stock it's been for a few months now...

I don't mean to beat you up man but i doubt very much your going to have much luck asking for target employees to find you stuff. Most of them are 18-19 year olds just working there while to go to college. Then there are the older employees that "allegedly" aka "probably" scalp the exclusive merch and resell it online. But if i happen to see this figure i will snatch it up for you since he is not on my wishlist.

I’ve never had Target give me an issue about holding things. Of course it’s very likely they never even had the figure in the first place, but it very well could have sold out before you got there. I would never trust a Target employee’s, or any retail employee’s word to be honest. I always ask them to hold the item even if I’m 5-10 mins away.

I doubt employees have the ability to order products anymore. Retail is so corporately driven and automated. They want the employees to keep the number of items accurate and follow their processes. Most ordering is determined in the office. Target may be different but I doubt it.

I doubt they would even help. I know of one target employee who is actively keeping the boxes in the back section he can purchase them. I know this because when I went to find hall of champions two, there is only one Simmons figure it out. I asked the guy if they had more in the back, and he said let me check with this one guy who works here because I know he set a side figures for himself. So I have basically a confession from one of the employees who knows that another employee is doing this
My thought is the only one who will help our people who are knowledgeable of the product. But my guess is that those who are knowledgeable about the product have a greater propensity to setting those aside for either their friends or to sell on eBay. Coincidentally, I found a guy selling those figures on Facebook store.

I went about 2 hours after I made the call so I did not expect it to be gone if it was really there. But I'm thinking the figure really wasn't there.

Customer: Do you have this item in the back? Store employee: Let me go look. (Employee walks to back, checks his phone, BS for 3-5 mins) comes back out & says, no we don’t have any in the back. OR all we have is what’s out there.

I've actually had a few employees at a location 30 minutes for me really go above and beyond to find certain figures I'm looking for in the back or on the floor before I took the drive out there. I can't say the same for my local store, though.

I don’t bother to ask or rely on what they tell me. I just follow the motto of “If it’s out there, it’s out there.”

I tried this today with an employee at Target and boom!
