Hey guys. So I had posted my LJN, Classic Superstars and Elite collection, now that I finally finished my Hasbro collection and decide after all these years to finally take pictures of them the correct way then bubble wrap them till I get room to display them and not gonna lie the popularity of the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast made me try to figure out a better way to display my figures.
So like my other collection post, I will give you a little back story about these figures. Like my LJN, WWF Hasbro figures came out when I was a kid, so again you can never tell a kid he has to keep your toys in the package and you can't play with them. Now that I'm an adult, it would be equal to saying to me hey here is your check but you can only look at it and not cash the check.
So the truth back story is again I was a kid when these figures were out, I guess from the age frame of 5-12. Now unlike LJN, these were a little more than just a Christmas, Birthday, or you did good at school type gifts. I have said it on this forum in a bunch of different post, that my biggest memory of Hasbro figures were me and my dad once a week depending on if figures were out, we would go and return bottles at our local food store, then head to next town (5 min drive) to the Toys R Us and I would run through the parking lot my dad not being able to stop me and running down to were they would have the wrestling figures and with the money I collected from the bottles I would be able to buy what figures I wanted. On top of that money at those times I would have a weekly allowance that 9/10 times would go to figures. Now the best part about my dad if there was a fresh set of figure and I could only get a certain amount, my dad was always a good judgement on if the next week they would be there. So some weeks he would buy a few more. I could always remember for Series three. We did our usually weekly thing and I ran down to where the figure were, and there they were I fresh set of Series 3. Before he could catch up to me I already had Hulk, Slaughter, Bossman and Beefcake. I then saw Warrior, and Koko and I knew I only had enough money for 4. Now before you got OMG why not pick Warrior. I was a Hogan guy not a Warrior guy. So I looked at me dad with that "I really want these look" and this time my dad said ok you can get those two guys. We went back the next week and they were sold out of Hogan, and Warriors. Like I said my dad always had that feeling. Me and one of my friends were talking about the Hasbro because we both listen to the podcast and we started talking about the order we got all these Hasbro which got me thinking that in Series order wasn't the way I remember them at the Toy stores. For whatever reason and back then no internet so you just went, I always remember getting that yellow series with Razor, Owen, and HBK one christmas then for my birthday that coming March I got the series at had The Mountie and Warlord etc. So I don't know if that was how the stores got them or whatever. Then I remember the last set I ever remember buying was that set with purple Razor and silver and back HBK in Toys R Us. Later on I remember buying the Green board series at a local small town toy store, and they had everyone but 123 Kid. Now in closing, I love what Mattel is doing with the new Retro series. I understand that they can't just release legends, they need current guys, I just wish in upcoming sets they would release guys from that New Gen/beginning of Attitude Era when they lost there contract. The second Retro series was a dream series. You had a DX Triple H, a Kane, Austin and Rock, all guys I remember either trying to make a custom figure, or just say ok hey this figure is this guy. For example, a dream bunch of guys that Mattel has made legend/flashbacks that I would love to see if well def Big Daddy Cool, a New Age Outlaw, a set of Nation figures, wouldn't mind a new Bret Hart, hell even a Jim in Hart Foundation figures. Hey I think you get the point off to the Hasbro figures.

Now my biggest story about Series 2 was I could never find Hogan or Macho King at Toys R Us, so one day my mom and I, went to the local flea market which had a shop where they sold toys. Now for a flea market they would increase the prices, so I run in and I see they had both Hogan and Macho King. Now I love my mom but she was a the one that 9.9999/10 times if you didn't have money or you want to go to a fast food place you had to use coupons. So I ask the guy hey my mom is at another shop can you hold these I'll be right back. Thinking to myself my mom is going to say no so after 15-20 mins he will know I'm not coming back and put them back out. So I again go running off through my mom probably almost tripping people as I was 5 or 6. I get to my mom and I explain to her that this shop has both figures I'm missing and instead of not telling her I say yeah they are a little more than at Toys R Us. Now what I didn't know was for about 2 weeks everyday my mom was calling Toys R Us' everyday asking if they had the figures (she told me this one day years later when the topic of buying figures came up) so I bring her to the shop and yea they had Hogan priced at 20 and Macho priced at 15 and to my beyond surprised my mom said these are going to be early birthday gifts. I was never sooooooo happy and she bought me both of them.

So the mini back story about this Series was that I bought the Nasty Boys at a house show I went to. I remember going up to buy a shirt and with my dad again I told him I wanted the figures instead of a shirt. As for LOD, besides the 123 Kid maybe Yoko probably the only figures I never saw at the store. I later bought LOD from a friend who happen to have two sets.

Now as a kid I had both the blue and yellow rings. Through years of use and at the time bad storage they post broke and the ropes warn down to pretty much nothing. Not really thinking at the time this happen I just threw them out. Yes I know a sin but hey who knew. So later on had to re-buy both rings. I found a blue ring on the bay that was never open and also a yellow ring never used just no box. So I had them all in correct storage and didn't want to take them out, so those are the only things I'm missing from the pictures. I do have pictures of the rings when I was a kid pre things really breaking and what not.
