Trust me, I agree. I had a hard time typing that. Well, as long as you washed your hands after you got done posting that, I'll forgive it. I scrubbed and scrubbed...

No. Think of the roster that would lose TV time.

Hey! It's been two months. Let's have this thread again. Hopefully we'll get a rehash of the "we all hate the title design" thread and our ever so favorite "BODYHAIRAMANIA!" thread!
Raw is staying three hours. You don't like it? Do what I do. Don't watch it. I just read results online the next day.

No, they just need to get better at filling in the three hours.

If the writing team was smart, which they aren't. And I doubt they will do this, By the beginning of 2019, do a preshow at 8:00, have just 1 or 2 matches on the preshow, and then start the actual show at 9:00 o'clock. They got rid of the 11:05 deal, so why not have a preshow at 8:00, and then you have RAW at 9:00. WWE Network did RAW Preshows and Post Shows before the WWE Network started in 2014, So why not go back to that, but this time with a new timeslot and have it on TV.

The thing I hate about Raw is they always only have one major storyline which involves 5-6 wrestlers which is most of the main event guys. Leaving no room for any other feuds or matches. I agree it should go back to 2 hours. Ratings are taking huge hit.
This past week's episode of Monday Night RAW continued to drop in viewership.
RAW average 2,368,333 with a 0.79 rating.
The biggest drop was in hour 3, when the viewership dropped to 2,111,000 viewers.
Hour:8:00 PM Viewership: 2,612,000 Rating: 0.85
Hour: 9:00 PM Viewership: 2,382,000 Rating: 0.8
Hour: 10:00 PM Viewership: 2,111,000 Rating: 0.73
Average: Viewership: 2,368,333 Rating: 0.793

If Raw could learn from NXT's weekly show, and use their time and talent similarly, 3 hours would be a lot easier to digest.
Though, as other's have said, I usually read the results online or catch Raw on Hulu if I've heard something interesting happened.
Sadly, the days of Raw being "must-see-TV" are long forgotten. Which is sad, as they have a pretty good roster.

Should be like 9-11 with an allowed 15 over run if needed....so much wasted time now

I usually start off watching a show with my wife from like 8-10, then at 10 I start playing Raw & by the time 11 rolls around, I’m all caught up lol

Paul Heyman and JBL already explained this a year or two ago that it's not going to happen. WWE makes more money per year from the three hours of advertising revenue a week than ANYTHING ELSE THEY DO. Yes as fans we might ENJOY the show more if it was shorter, but WWE is not going to intentionally make less money. “fans are dumb!” despite jbl and heyman’s attempt at ridiculing the host, the fact of the matter is that it is the wwe’s responsibility to create entertaining content. they want raw to be three hours, then give us three hours of quality content. they’re not.

It absolutely needs to be two hours. Like others have said, have a pre-show on the Network at 8 p.m. and sell advertising there. If they make the pre-show like Heat was in the late 90's (advance feuds, attacks, etc...) people will tune in for sure.
Raw Pre-Show (WWE Network/8pm) Monday Night Raw (USA/9-11:05)
I mean, they would be saving themselves by not having to write a whole hour of "new" content, and can focus on the 2 hour show. SmackDown is barely considered "good" content right now, but because of the pacing and the writers abilities to basically rotate talent on television, it does not seem like a chore to watch.
Also, outside of Graves, the commentary crew for Raw is absolutely horrendous. Rene is robotic and is clearly still learning, and Cole is just Cole (aka Vince's repetitive puppet).

The current writing staff already have trouble squeezing the talent they've got on a three-hour show. I can't imagine who would be left off a two-hour one if Steph is needed that night to deliver a 20-minute monologue.

How would having less time make it better?!? Especially with how full the roster is. If you think the reason it's not good is cause it needs to be shorter, what does that say about what the actual program is? This question makes me laugh

I'm pretty sure 95% of the people at the WWE are aware that their product is significantly suffering due to 3 hours worth of creative, but too much money is simply made from a business perspective that it simply defies all logic to turn back to two hours.

I think if they bothered to write a 3 hour show, having the show be 3 hours wouldn't be so boring lol. I just feel like a lot of RAW is filler, and it doesn't need to be. So, I voted no, I like 3 hour RAW, I just want them to invest more time into writing it.

no. the thing is they have the TALENT to put on an entertaining 3 hours of TV every week, they just dont have the care or writing team good enough to do it.
