Should RAW really go back to 2 hours?, because ever since 2012, RAW has been taking hit after hit. Some have been good but bad, I believe RAW needs to go back to two hours because the writers can't do anything right. They should go from 9:00 to 11:00, have a preshow around 8:00 or 8:30 just like NFL does. There's gotta be a change by the end of the year, and if not, It could be the end of the WWE as we know it.

The bigger problem is the writing

Tbh I voted 'I don't know'. Yes, RAW sucked so badly last night but with 3 hours of TV time, the WWE could use it wisely to their advantage and try to push other talent.
Sometimes I think SD needs an extra hour or 30 minutes to give other mid card, lower card or tag team talent some TV time.

No they're being paid and paid well to make a 3 hour show. Bullocks to the ratings its about the money anyone telling themselves anything else is either delusional or don't know crap about business.

the roster isn't deep enough to pull off 3 legit quality hours with a brand split but also the writing is chitty.

At this point, I would be happy with an hour or RAW and an hour of Smackdown.
NXT shows that you can have a one hour wrestling show that contains good characters, angles and wrestling. I watch this week in WWE and never feel like I missing out on anything by skipping RAW and Smackdown. How anyone can sit through a live RAW is beyond me.
However, on the flip side of this, they are being paid a crap ton of money to make three hours of TV so their ad rates must be doing very well for the station or they would have cut an hour or two long ago. I personally do not get it as the current product is so stale. Everything is so boring and sterile and you can tell instantly when a wrestler is giving a scripted promo. Surely no one in the production team ever finishes their shift at RAW and goes "that was one hell of a show!"
I have my hour of NXT, my 30-45 minutes of This Week In WWE and that is more than enough WWE for me.

Paul Heyman and JBL already explained this a year or two ago that it's not going to happen. WWE makes more money per year from the three hours of advertising revenue a week than ANYTHING ELSE THEY DO.
Yes as fans we might ENJOY the show more if it was shorter, but WWE is not going to intentionally make less money.

Until they do away with the exact same matches week after week with absolutely no back story or an actual point to them then it's gonna be the same. They literally have guys being paid a fortune to wrote for them and the best they can come up with is 2 old timers against 2 old timers in a match nobody wanted and nobody cared for.
Just put a bit of time into some storylines and character development. They need to have like a 12 month plan in place for these guys.

I know all the names out of action at the moment is affecting Raw, but like others have said, it's all about the writing.

No. Too much money is made. But I would like to see more of the 205 Live roster used on RAW. I'd also like to see more use of the under-card. They did good by giving No Way Jose & Hawkins TV time this week, but find a use for Ryder, Slater, Rhyno, Titus, and even Mojo. Find something for Bray. You're paying them, ya might as well use em.

It could help. But the biggest issue is the writing. My God the show is unwatchable at times.

I think they should go back to one hour shows until they prove they are worthy of a second hour.
Watching RAW on my DVR last night took me about a half an hour because it was the same old tired crap.

I usually watch the fan-made Raw and SmackDown! highlight reels on YouTube the next morning. They're usually about twenty minutes long and I watch it on x2 playback speed. I honestly don't feel like I'm missing anything in that time.
I check the NXT results on .com and watch NXTUK in full.
Job done.

2 hours, better writing, better commentary, new approach to production, even going to Seasons and having breaks would all help this god awful current product but none of that is probably on the horizon.

Hell yes! The first 3 hour episode was padded out with the lighting rig fire and the super annoying fire alarm accompanying it. Is it still padded out? I usually stay in the loop on YouTube with It's A Work and other channels
