I just bought some accessories and the type of plastic that was used to make them stinks really bad, like it stunk up the whole room they were sitting in. I've soaked them in soap overnight and had them sit outside for a few hours, the smell is really strong.
Thinking im going to try baking soda, do you mix it in with water and have them soak?

baking soda powder will work, absorbs smell and moisture... leave it in an esky (cooler) or an air tight container together... also at least they don't smell like ARSE!

Put them in a plastic bag with uncooked rice for a few days.

Use a dryer sheet!
I had a figure that came with a smokey smell. I wrapped it in a dryer sheet, put in a ziplock bag for 24hrs. Took it out and airing it out for another 24 hr.
No more smoke smell

Put them in a plastic bag with uncooked rice for a few days. My sister in law once dropped her phone in the bath and was told to dry it out using a bowl of rice. Unfortunately they left out the uncooked part. Not being the sharpest knife she put it in a bowl of spicy Mexican Uncle Ben’s. It didn’t quite pan out

Just toss them in a ziplock bag or Tupperware container with baking soda powder. Close it up and let sit, the longer they sit in the baking soda the more odor gets absorbs. A friend and I did this with a lot of belongings after a house fire and it worked out great.

The dryer sheet in a bag didn't work for me a while back. All I got was smoky, spring fresh belts.
