What’s the heat between Bundy and WWE? I’ve never heard of anything, but now that I think about it, other than merch, I don’t remember Bundy having any involvement with WWE since like 95. Bundy was part of that concussion lawsuit that a whole bunch of workers had against the WWE. That didn't sit too well with them. A lot of guys were and that was only recent. Based on the comments I’ve seen in this thread and the fact that I haven’t seen him in WWE since the mid 90s, it seems like there’s a deeper issue.

I'll miss King Kong Buddy.
My favorite memory of him was saving Elizabeth from Savage.
Lol.
Really though it sucks when a wrestler I grew up watching dies. Bundy was an awesome heel back in the day. Him and Hogan in the cage holds up to this day.

Bundy stated that Vince McMahon was angry at him for doing a computer ad in the 80s without the WWF's permission. Bundy didn't have to legally seek Vince's approval, but Vince felt that one of his "products" was being used with no compensation for him. Then there was Bundy's short-lived 90s return where he was obviously displeased by the booking. From what I can gather, he had very little contact with anyone in WWE after that. I also saw a quote from him once where he said that wrestling was a job, but not something he loved any more. It doesn't seem like either side was trying to mend fences.

Hasn’t he been doing standup comedy for like the last 10 years or so?

THE first wrestling match I ever saw was Hogan vs Bundy at WM2 on my Best of Wrestlemania VHS. Between overcooked hotdog-looking Hogan, the weasel, the impeccable commentary team of Gorilla, Lord Alfred, and The Body with Elvira, the blue bar cage that legit looked like it would hurt to be thrown into, and the imposing size and strength of Bundy, I was hooked from the start.

That's not usually that kind of match that I like, but it's hard to deny that they told a good story with that entire program.
