So I had the Entrance Great Jeff Hardy, but didn't want that style of face paint head on the body, so I bought the basic 92 figure to do a head swap. And for the life of me, I can not get that basic head on the EG Hardy. The basic head seems WAY too small. Great face scan, but it can't fit on anything it seems but the figure it comes with.
Has anyone successfully put that basic head on an elite body?? Or is this just my random bad luck coming into play??

The hole in the Jeff Hardy head is way too small, and it broke the neck of the basic when I tried to put it back on. *sigh* Money well spent apparently.

Heat it with a hair dryer on low for like a minute and a half to two minutes.

I did that head swap and didn't have a problem at all.

Legit same thing happened to me, I heated it up & went to pop it off and the peg stayed in the head & broke the bar in his neck & cracked his neck

I don't know why Mattel changed the holes in the head. I swapped an Elite 66 AJ's head onto an older one the other day and the head was a pain to get off and on.
It's doable though. I would recommend boiling the head and giving it a go.

Thankfully The Dave helped me out with this problem and got the head on the figure for me.
But there is seriously something different about the heads now. The EG head had a bigger hole inside than the basic head did. So I have a feeling that these heads are gonna be a bit more awkward to swap out as time goes on.

All this talk of hole sizes I'm surprised this thread's not locked already.

Funny you guys are talking about head swaps. I've recently been updating a bunch of my retros with better heads. They've all come out great, but two of the most recent ones the heads are way looser than usual. Specifically the Entrance Greats Goldberg & Elite 56 Samoa Joe heads swivel way more than any others I've done. I wonder when they changed this & why?
