Anyone remember this? It was in the 90s! It had Tito Santana and Sgt Slaughter. It was American Wrestling Federation. What happened to them?

Wrestling With Wregret did an episode on this, you should check it out, the round system was completely backwards. also funny how one of the owners was a known mob member who got tied into conspiracy and fraud.

I used to watch this. From what I remember about it, it was taped years in advanced and aired later on TV. I am not sure how true that is, but it is possible.
The Tito Santana vs. Bob Orton match for the AWF Title was freaking awesome though! It went almost an hour.
I remember Tommy Rich and Greg Valentine were the AWF Tag Champions, and the Legion of Doom were the number 1 contenders.
The company had star power actually. From young guys, to veterans, if it had a major cable deal and got rid of that round system, the AWF probably would have had some longevity.

According to the wiki page it was broadcast in Europe in the mid 2000’s and resurfaced in the US in 96. Every chance there was some tapes of it floating around some tv stations in between. Looks like a great wee promotion though will need to check it out

I actually didn't mind AWF. I got some of the episodes in my personal collection.
Hearing heel Lord Alfred Hayes in the booth compared to his WWF run was definitely something.

I've got the DVD set that was released a while back. I actually enjoyed it. Don't think it was that bad at all.

I always thought he was underrated as a manager during that run.
