How on earth are you supposed to look through the figures?

I would definitely stop buying at Walmart if mine did that. It would be too much of a hassle to track someone down to help and then hope the figure I wanted was even in stock. Whenever you ask for help on things the employees always say that's not my dept. and you have to wait for someone else Pretty soon, I'd say it's going to be strictly online. Or Walmarts is going to have to start hiring people to sit near the toy section to be right there to help customers. Its crazy, sucks a few bad people have to ruine a good thing.

Perhaps if some figure prices weren’t so outrageously expensive these days there would be no reason for people to steal them & therefore no reason for lock & key....Imo part of this is Mattel’s fault

That is just sad for a child. These are child play things, not meant to be looking through glass the rest of there lives

These aren't necessities for everyday life. People aren't stealing these like a loaf of bread to survive. People are stealing these because they're jerks and have no sense of decency.

Same difference....theft is theft no matter what it is....and isn’t Mattel the ones who set these ridiculous prices for their merchandise?? Sorry but with all due respect....I think what I said is right on target

This wouldn't be a bad thing imo. With all the distribution problems and lack of being able to find anything decent at retail to begin with. Now your going to need to pay an employee to open a case evertyime somebody wants to buy a toy, or even look through to see if there's anything in stock they want? Just go strictly online and be done with all this BS.

The year is 2034, the Fig Swappers have gotten chainsaws and cut through the glass and stole the figures and put Dog Poo in them. The Walmart employees see it and don't see a problem, then for the next decade people are sick of it, then in 2045 Walmart now has the figure section guarded with Lava, and Elite series 786 is out and they finally made a new Harley Race elite exclusive to Jupiter

Sorry but with all due respect....I think what I said is right on target I'm digging this "troll who says outrageously incorrect things" gimmick. I'll buy your shirt when it comes out. But on a serious note, no. This is absolutely in no way the "same difference", and it says a lot about you if you actually think this way. Like...a LOT. And you are??

I am in no way as hard on theft as most here, because I was young and broke and dumb once. But no way can you blame the company. That's crazy. Agree 100% with you.

LOL
Some people here are so desperate to pin every last little shortcoming that comes with figure collecting on Mattel that they're now pinning store shrink (which, for those of you keeping score, is a variable metric that varies from store to store) on the manufacturer.
Never change, WF.
