The home page feels a bit dated, like a style you'd see in late 90s/early 2000s. It just doesn't come off as very modern. I also think functionality wise, the text for the icons on the navigation bar may be too small/difficult to read, especially if viewing the website mobile. I'd definitely suggest considering making the website responsive/mobile friendly.
Right now it's just a lot of text to read and nothing on the website really entices me to want to read the information. Maybe you could incorporate some images associated with each of the posts, just to break it up. Even header graphics would suffice. I think it would also be really cool to see more movement on the site. Maybe consider incorporating an animation in the header or a subtle animation effect to the logo? Not something overly distracting just something to enhance the viewing experience. Even that scrolling bit of text was enough to make me actually want to read it. I do like how you're consistent with the color scheme by tying it back to the logo. Even the metallic trim borders around the panels has the same astethic as the metal in the logo, so there is definitely unity in play for the design overall which is really important.
Sorry if I was all over the place with this feedback btw, I'm not good at organizing critiques. Overall I think you can definitely easily build off of this and create a stronger page. If you wind up further revising it definitely post an updated version, I'd love to see it.

aside from being on the left side more than being in the middle, it looks good, the colors aren't too contrasting and it has a central theme to it which helps add consistency to the product

snowjorden design wise: it looks good as well. the colors aren't too contrasting that it becomes distracting, it has a good similar theme throughout to achieve a sense of cohesion, and the color choices used are very good as well.

snowjorden I would say this one is moving in a more modern direction which is good. I'd maybe suggest having the top animation only play once instead of on a loop but that's really minor and comes down to preference.

This newer version, I learned some HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript and Adobe After Effects. Honestly things I'd been behind on learning. I'm way behind the curve, though.. I have some knowledge and functional ability with all the scripts / design programs. Just never mastered any.. Thank you though.

Much respect to you for learning up on it yourself instead of using templates or wordpress. Not that there's anything wrong with templates or wordpress but still. My first major was website design but I always was more interested in graphic design so I have limited knowledge too about CSS and HTML 5. Do you design the layout as you code or are you wireframing at all or mocking anything up in photoshop?

I draw whatever I think up in Photoshop. I never touch a single bit of coding until I've drawn whatever I'm satisfied with. Then, I manually cut it apart with the selection tool based on how I need parts (as images, backgrounds, etc). Once done, I start coding the layout I drew. Sometimes this presents quite the challenge though, as I've drawn something in Photoshop with an idea/function in mind, that I actually don't know how to make it work coding wise. Therefore, I start learning new stuff. Lol.

Generally, an awesome website design! But you need to consider that many people now use phones and tablets to browse. On these devices your layout may not work. And the background image is very tall - even on a desktop computer the content will be pushed down below the fold.
