I’m sure this has been covered somewhere but figured Mattel board gets the most traffic. What is the difference between the 2 and a the sample? How many of each are made? Anyone know? Generally

in a nutshell, prototypes are usually 1st made figures and are mostly made out of resin and hand painted. Test shots are molded figures in whatever colored plastics Mattel has around to test out durability, action features, articulation, etc.

Glad to help. If any hardcore collector wants to go more into depth, please do so. I like reading up on this kind of stuff.
