Just opened up my Nikki Cross and took off her jacket to see that the rubber corset she has on is developing a white film. If i rub my finger on it the film will appear more. Anyone elses do this? The corset is a different rubber then the hard jackets Mattel usually makes. Any luck with cleaning this?

I think some people were having problems with some of their older figures getting this a while ago

This happened on a few Nikki Bella figures before with the film on her hair. The Nikki Curse?

This has happened with some of their DC figures in the past. If you use a hairdryer on it itâll go away.

is it a result of the rubber drying out or something?

Iâve had this happen with several Mattel and Jakks figures. I have so many Jakks Divas with paint smeared because the hair of corsets âmeltedâ together over time. My SummerSlam Nikki Bella has a weird white film over her hair. I never bothered to fix it lol

I am not sure if it is the plastic, rubber, or paint used by Mattel, but back when I was collecting the Movie Masters line of Batman movie figures, almost every figure developed that white film somewhere.
The Joker got it on his coat and lower legs (from the knees down), and the legs of both the bank robber clown thug and Scarecrow did exactly the same... from the knees down.
You can wipe them off, but it comes right back after a week or so.
