Just got done watching this. Brad Pitt stole the show. His character of Cliff may be my favorite character he's ever played.

Movie meandered. Tarentino needed an editor. Last 5 minutes saved the movie. Best 5 minutes I've got to watch in years.

Loved it. The Sharon Tate scenes early on dragged but enjoyed it more than Django and Hateful 8.

Cliff points his finger at dude. Lol. As soon as I saw Leo get out of the pool and start walking to the shed I literally yelled out "oh crap, he's gonna get the flame thrower"

Exactly. Like if it wasn't for the acid cig, Cliff may have left. And most likely after all the booze Leo was putting in. He may have drown in the pool. Cliff was the hero.

Just saw this today. I enjoyed this much more than I expected to. Full on loved it.
I agree that Pitt stole the show. He was a revelation. I think it's also my favorite DiCaprio performance too, despite him being outshined by Pitt. I also loved Robie and thought she was perfect. Lots of positives about the movie.
I was engaged so much that I can excuse the length and the weak story.

there was ups and downs, but the movie certainly ran too long. a lot of unnecessary drivel. the Sharon Tate character was completely devoid of depth.
despite those complaints, I enjoyed the film. was a fun ride.

This was the Sharon Tate story guys and how Charles Manson killed her....she got murdered for real life, and Tarantino changed it as if to say this is how it should have happened.

This finally premiered here on Thursday so I got around to seeing it today.
From when the trailer came out, I couldn't figure out exactly what it was about. I got that it was about an actor and his stunt double, but what exactly about them? Rick's slow decline seems to be happening before the events of the movie. Before the six month time jump, there wasn't really any highs and lows for the characters. Rick filmed Lancer and Sharon watched a movie. There were no moments, apart from when Cliff arrives at Stahn Ranch, where I thought 'oh crap, hows he gonna get out of this situation?' or 'where does he go from here?'. From the time jump onward though, wow. Cliff absolutely destroying the Manson family, Rick getting the flamethrower, combined with the witty dialogue already mentioned above was classic Tarantino.
The soundtrack was a major high point though. I've already been listening to it on Spotify since.
When I left the movie, I thought it was a bit meh but after having time to think over it, I'd go and see it again. Inglorious Basterds is still my favourite movie of his, with Brad Pitt being the highlight again.

Saw this a few weeks back with my girlfriend and she's never been a fan of much besides horror/thrillers but even she liked it. I think the movie did have some dragging points but DiCaprio and Pitt make almost anything good. While I think DiCaprio was the better actor (doesn't get much better), Pitt was easily the shining star. In the end, the ending was absolutely fantastic and capped off what was a very good film.

"I remember you! You were on a horsey!"
Is my favorite line in a movie in 2019.

I'm a sucker for fictional old Hollywood (like Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here).
I wish Bounty Law was a real show. One I could find re-run ad nauseam today, on MeTV and TV Land.

I really enjoyed it. Leo with the little girl had me DEAD! He better get another Oscar nomination..
Brad was also awesome and apparently he is going to commit category fraud, like many actors lately, and try to win the Supporting Actor Oscar. He has a real shot since he has a lead role..
But hey if they can give Mahershala his second Supporting Actor Oscar for playing a LEAD role then why not give Brad his first acting Oscar for this?
As for Tarantino Idk if this is even considered one of his top directing jobs but he deserves to win Best Director one of these years. We all know Scorsese didn't win his Best Director Oscar for his best work but that happens all the time. It is better than an honorary Oscar.
My views will likely change when I see the other top contenders but for now I hope this movie gets many nominations next year.
