I was just wondering: does it surprise any of you that CM Punk hasn't at least signed a merch deal with WWE? I mean- Bret signed one for extra royalties. Though Punk had an issue with royalties before due to his departure, I can't see he wouldn't want extra royalties for doing nothing. I'd like to see him sign so we can get more figures, shirts, etc. What do you think?

No not really. He was beyond smart with his money and doesn’t live any kind of elaborate lifestyle. So he doesn’t need the money at all.

It doesn't surprise me in the least. Existing opportunities notwithstanding, I can't imagine a current scenario in which Punk would want to open the door for WWE to draw any additional income over what they already have the means to earn off of his name and/or likeness.

Not gonna happen. He didn’t leave on the best of terms (to say the least) and I can’t see either party ever agreeing to that. I’d be shocked if he even goes into the HOF, which sucks given he was my favorite while he was there.

CM Punk doesn’t need WWE. He can sell merch and book appearances on his own. And why would he want to be under contract with the company that he has been very clear that he no longer wants anything to do with? The company that fired him on his wedding day and allegedly bankrolled a frivolous defamation lawsuit against him.

I think he just wants distance himself from them as much as possible. Like someone else mentioned, he saved his money well, so i don't think he cares all too much about making more, especially after what he was paid for his 2 fights in UFC. Plus, if he did sign a merch deal and got figures, shirts, a 'Self-Destruction of CM Punk' DVD among other things, it'd only drive more speculation and rumours about him returning, which would probably annoy him more than what he already gets.
It'd be nice if he were under a deal, we'd probably have an Ultimate Edition Punk on the way, a bunch of Flashback Punks etc... Though it was the deciding point for him to leave, i really want an Elite Rumble 2014 Punk with the White designs and messy short hair. A true FX of the Elite 29 scan would be amazing.

I know it’ll never happen but UE Punk would be cool. I’d do pipe bomb. Yellow attire, Stone Cold shirt, mic. Attire also works for older Punk so a 2nd head can be with long hair and a matching 2nd shirt. Extra hands could be open hands, black X’s instead of red, or “clobbering time”.

Mattel has made like 100+ punk figures, i'm pretty sure there is really nothing left for them to make even if he did resign

I think there are a million different ways that CM Punk can market himself without having to include WWE or give them any percentage of the money.
Anything he signs with WWE would mean they would be getting some percentage. Why does WWE deserve to make any money off of CM Punk?
If he wants T-shirts, he can sell them himself. How many wrestlers put their own stuff up on prowrestlingtees?
If CM Punk wants action figures, I'm sure there are plenty of companies out there that would partner with him. Hogan went through Storm.
Video games might be a little more tricky as there are really not THAT many games out there to choose from, but I guess it's not impossible that he gets his likeness in a NON-wrestling game. Ronda Rousey was in Mortal Kombat, maybe CM Punk offers his likeness to a character in a non-wrestling game.
I don't really see any logical reason as to why CM Punk would have to, or WANT to, include WWE in anything or why WWE deserves to make any money off of CM Punk in the future?
Also, he's said in interviews that he doesn't need to work, he doesn't need the money, so he's not just going to do something for the sake of doing something.

Better chance of Martha Hart signing a deal with WWE.

Punk should sign with Storm like Hogan And they should make his Chicago White Sox attire I showed above because a UFC Punk would be damn near worthless.

CM Punk needs WWE like Kurt Cobain needs a hole in the head. So you’re saying CM Punk actually HAS WWE?

No. Punk lost his hair to Rey at Over the Limit in 2010 and I think he started getting that tattoo around SummerSlam time when he faced Big Show. He did wear the yellow and black during both periods but he'd have to have a shirt on if you wanted to go with Jesus Punk and have it be accurate. Specifically his Ramons style CM Punk Straight Edge shirt for that era.

I don’t see Punk having any kind of involvement WWE ever again, and if he were to, it would be way in the future, like decades IMO.
