It’s dead, it’s been dead for months then some figures showed & it’s dead again. Before all this it wasn’t to bad.

I have 4 Walmart’s, 2 Targets, and a vacant Toys R Us building within a half hour of my house. It’s been pretty bare all summer but I’m starting to see newer series pop up now. I don’t think I have many collectors/scalpers in the area because I pretty much find anything I want including chase figs.

This has been the worst I can remember, even worse than the infamous E36 backup. Walmarts were bare for a couple months, but have finally started getting E68 and the SS basic wave within the past week. Cases are selling through fast, but don't seem to be getting restocked.
Target has been pretty empty through the last two reset cycles. Top Talents (mostly just AJ), some basics, and a few scattered figures from the Wolfe series at some stores. But again cases hit, sell through in days, and then crickets.
But it doesn't seem like there is a scalper problem, and with a fair number of Targets and Walmarts in the area there's at least a decent chance of finding what you want.

My Walmart has one E68 Bella elite. That’s the only elite on the pegs.

Absolutely dead. There are 3 Walmarts and 2 Targets within 30 minutes of me that I check out. One Target recently got Elite 65, while everything else is still stuck on 64. Each time a store exclusive is announced, I die a little more inside because my stores will probably not have them.

No repackers but it's also inconsistent. We were getting E54, 55, 56, then nothing for 57-59. Then we got 60, 61, 62, 63 and 66. Now we've gone backwards to getting 64 and I've seen bits of 67 and 68.
You really don't know what's coming or not, and we've been stuck on 66 for quite some time now. NXT 4 started popping up randomly at TRU too with no warning.
I've identified 2-3 other serious collectors in my area. We do business sometimes.
Seems that while the distribution suffers in the US, it picks up in Canada.

I have about 5 targets all within a 20 mile radius and at 4 of them the employees take what figures they want and leave the rest

My local toy hunting is pretty much the Target that’s a few blocks away from my place. I’m always there for supplies, Starbucks etc anyway so I just always swing by the fig section. The stocking is inconsistent but I’m there early so often that usually when new stock comes in I’m on it and get what I’m looking for. I’ve been lucky w store exclusives there as well - multiples of Dunne, Wolfe, etc

As the title says, what is the wrestling figure collecting scene like in your current place of residence?
Are things dead and you seemingly never get anything new? Or is it lively, competitive and constantly stocked? There aren’t any stores in my hometown. Drive 20 minutes north or south and there’s a few Targets and WalMarts in each direction.
Or is it just meh? Sometimes things show up, sometimes they dont? I have never not found a figure that was released on the pegs.
Do you have scalping problems? yup. T0y W1z hits every store in my area.
Are there repackers in your area? Yes and belt thieves.
Are your local CL and FB marketplace scenes pretty decent for WWE stuff? never used/look at them.
What's your situation like? I have never not found a figure that was released at least twice.

What is the wrestling figure collecting scene like in your current place of residence?
It's fairly active. I know of several collectors in the area, even if the only ones I speak to are people I consider friends who also just happen to collect. I can think of at least two local-ish flea markets that have regular vendors dealing in wrestling figures both old and new.

Every place is cyclical. I think we've all seen the best case of that with the recent Wal-Mart restocks, with 68 slowly appearing in a gradual west to east pattern. I don't think my area is any more or less unique than anyone else, save for the fact that we're probably on the tail end of the distribution list by distance.
Do you have scalping problems?
I don't consider buying and reselling, in of itself, to be a problematic practice. I've done as much. I'll probably do as much again. I've dealt with a local reseller who was unable to differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable forms of common social behavior, but beyond that, no, "problem" wouldn't be a word I'd use to describe it.
Are there repackers in your area?
A with every area, yes. My favorite was when I thought I'd stumbled upon a HoC Simmons, only to find a Harlem Heat Booker T in his place.
Are your local CL and FB marketplace scenes pretty decent for WWE stuff?
Relatively, but it's mostly older stuff. The odd new things that pop up tend to be from would-be eBayers who have no idea how to price according to the current secondary market.
What's your situation like?
I have yet to lack for anything I'd like to have unless it's a release that came before I got back in.

It was getting there but now Argos have stopped elites again its a bit meh.
We have a Toytown which does elites and have got the Summerslam elites, Ruby Riott basic series. We have another toy shop that has a couple of elites but haven't had any new ones in ages. I haven't been in B&M so not sure what that has.
But it seems like we are getting another B&M and Smyths so hopefully the future is bright

Getting back into the line and the last couple weeks have been pathetic. Even with the top talent line, can't find an elite Seth Rollins

All local stores suck. It doesn't seem figures are being bought to much. We had Elite 12? I think or maybe it was like Elite 18. Brodus Clay in Walmart till 2017. I stick to online the flee market, or the vintage action figure shop at the mall.
