Obviously their MO is pumping out lower demand versions before making the iconic attire, getting consumers to buy multiple copies. But it's weird to see how they make a bunch of figures of some guys in quick succession, and others have this slow burn spread out over the past decade. It amazes me that we only have one M$M Elite (perfect for the UE line, imo). We get 2-3 Austin Elites a year, yet nothing from the Stunning Steve or Blondes era? Yet we get 3 Fred Ottman in quick succession. There's just no rhyme or reason. We still wait on Team Xtreme Hardyz, despite knowing Jeff is one slip up away from being released. I get that you can't blow through everything at once or you'll shoot yourself in the foot 2-3 years later when you need high demand figures. But we're a decade into this line. It's amazing what hasn't been made in that time. And then you get situations like Jericho, where Bill waits too for years and years holding back WCW Jericho, and then when they look like they're finally going to slot him in - boom, he's not under contract. Re. M$M wasn't the original entrance line elite style? If so he had one of those along with the HOF elite

This is one that’s bothered me since I started collecting Mattel WWE figures. It’s strange how this version of the King has been mainly ignored by Mattel for whatever reason.

The original EG figures were basics. Really? Surprising because it was one of the original 'premium' mattel lines wasn't it? They were loaded with accessories

I'm surprised there haven't been more Lawlers in general. You'd think he'd be a breeze to get under contract and an easy sell to both hardcore collectors and casuals.

We could have had this figure as a retro also which would have only made perfect sense. All of us 90s Bret Hart kids just getting ripped here, we need that damn 90s WWF Lawler! We have enough Jerry and WWE in general in black and red also. Would love the blue and white scheme

I might have some bias, but to me the New Gen is the most under-represented era that Mattel has worked on. Some, like Owen, is out of Mattel's control. But oversights like Lawler are squarely on Mattel.
