I think it’s unanimously expected that his in-ring career is over. It’s so unfortunate because at the time of his injury I think he was just starting to click as an annoying pest of a character and he was getting genuine heat. The guy had mad talent as well. Makes me wonder where he’d be today

Yeah he really could have been a star, he was a natural in the ring, had great size, and was getting lots of time and experience on TV.

I feel real bad for the guy. He received a lot of unjustified bad reactions weekly, due to poor booking, and you could tell he couldn't really deal with it very well, often affecting his promos. Despite that, he was a hell of an athlete and brilliant in ring. I was actually looking forward to his return for a longest time. It's just a shame he'll be remembered for being Kurt Angle's fake son or throwing vegetables at Elias.

Watching some of his matches with Gable from NXT when they were FIRE!
Such a shame.

The whole, "Kurt Angle is my father" ruined Jordan.
What should have happened is Kurt announcing Gable and Jordan as the newest team to Raw and had them dominate the tag division there with Kurt as the manager.

American Alpha were brilliant and had the whole "Team Angle" vibe to them. Vince broke them up for no good reason.

I wish they had never broken up American Alpha.

They should never have broke up American Alpha. They were wasted on Smackdown so a move to Raw could've done wonders for the team.

He would’ve been in the main event for sure, he was becoming Kurt Angle 2.0 even without the son gimmick. The cheesy heel who has a legit wrestling background. Such a shame

I also saw them as a current-day Team Angle. Before Angle's limitations became obvious I really wanted to see one last heel run, where Kurt became world champ (short term) and AA were tag champs. JJ was extremely talented in the ring, and had the size the Gable doesn't. He really got a raw deal. At least he's got a cushy backstage producer job now, and he'll maintain his body better overall even if his neck is shot.

Can you imagine what the tag team division would look like if they'd never split up the teams they needlessly split that year? It would be so freaking diverse:
American Alpha Enzo & Cass (If they'd never split, none of the issues that lead to their releases would have happened) The Revival The Usos The Viking Raiders Heavy Machinery The New Day Authors of Pain Ryder & Hawkins The Colons The OC The Hardy Boyz Harper & Rowan The Ascension The Bollywood Boys

I was stunned when he did that.

I was stunned when he did that. Their downfall was Cass participating in the Fatal Four Way in 2016 for the vacant Universal Title. Cass was able to hold his own in a promo with Rollins, Reigns, and Owens, and got praised by most fans for his ring work as well (he had a good match with Jericho earlier in the year as well that was praised). Well, Vince being Vince, heard the crowd go crazy for a big, sweaty 7-footer and that was it for their tag team. Not realizing that Enzo did literally all the talking for the group, Vince began to push Cass as a main event heel long before he was ready (sounds familiar, huh). The rest was history for those two.
