It's time to bin the Universal title. It been nothing but a curse since day one. The "lineage" of it is a ing mess. The colours, Balors injury, Owens 4 week run, giving it to Goldberg twice, Reigns unfortunate leukemia vacancy, Lesnar's 500+ day hostage situation and his ridiculous cash in... all in what? 10-11 reigns? And they present it as the most prestigious title in the company 😂 The true Universal Champion is the man that can hold it and rebuff the curse’s advances. In all seriousness, however, I feel like giving it to the Fiend was a step in the right direction. Unfortunately, it ended up how it did and now we have a copy-pasted version of Owens’s loss to Goldberg two years ago, only this time the belt is blue. Exactly. And this version is older and less exciting.

I've never been a big Goldberg fan myself. So this wasn't a smart move IMO. Especially with his age. But I do think fans are overreacting.
Personally I think Bray should have kept it and then be challenged by Cena. Cena wanting number 17 before he can retire sort of thing. And Bray wants redemption for his run in with Cena years ago. Then I'd have had Bray defeat Cena clean at WM. Roman steamroll Goldberg and then have a collision course built up between the two winners that night. Then the following weeks could have been Bray playing mind games with Roman.
Taker looked awful too. AJ is going to have to work overtime to make that match passable.
Hated to see Ricochet manhandled, but I think it was done to make Drew look good if/when he defeats Brock.
Tag matches were pretty good.
Garza & Humberto was fun as expected. Garza is a star.

Could not have said that better myself I %100 agree with you on all these points.

I gotta give it to Vince lol. This guy knew Reigns would get booed by a lot of the fans at WM if he beat Fiend for the Title so why not have Reigns beat Goldberg for it instead? Right now it looks like either Goldberg is getting booed again at WM or Goldberg/Reigns will get booed together... either way at least it ain’t gonna be Reigns getting booed once again in a WM main event hahaa. You really don’t think the WWE fan base won’t boo both men and boo no matter who wins? The “YOWIE WOWIE” chants are gonna be deafening. True say but if we do get Reigns vs Fiend the boos are gonna be all directed at Reigns 100% while Fiend gets all the cheers... at least with Reigns vs Goldberg both guys getting booed most likely and nobody getting cheered... Vince and co will just blame it all Goldberg for beating Fiend anyways. Either way it’s a lose/lose but Vince and co will surely take Reigns/Goldberg getting booed TOGETHER over Reigns getting booed on his own against Fiend. Tbh I wanna actually see the crowd pick a side but yh it’s looking like a repeat of Lesnar/Goldberg and Lesnar/Reigns again.

I thought Goldberg might have been the first wrestler to hold world championships in 4 different decades (90s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020), but Lou Thesz also did it in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.

Owens held the title for more than 4 weeks, 6 months i think. Probably the best reign (not saying much) yet with his work with Jericho which should have ended in a title match between the two.

Terry Funk has to be up there if not higher he did not hold world titles in each decade. ecw in 90s, nwa in 80s, and i guess you could count florida etc in the 70s.
