I find, for whatever reason, classic attire Kane figures are seemingly the most difficult type of figure to obtain.
And I'm referring to initial point of release, I know any of the older ones are difficult because they're figures everybody wants, on top of being limited.
But for example, the latest Elite is a Ringside Collectibles Exclusive. I'm not a massive fan of that figure, but the problem is being in Canada makes it so difficult to get because of the insane conversion and shipping fees.
The hall of champions elite I don't think ever saw the light of day in Canada. Basic 74, again virtually non-existent.
As for the older classic elites, I wasn't really collecting around that time, so who knows, perhaps those ones were plentiful. But I doubt it.
It just seems to me like classic attire Kane figures are among the most sought after of any, and every single time they seem to release one it never seems to be easily accessible, you can't just walk to Wal-Mart and buy it.
Here's hoping I can one day get my hands on a debut attire Kane without much hassle!

Because it’s from the greatest run of his career and they don’t make that many flashbacks of him.

Here here.
I’ve been collecting all this time, and I still have not got my hands on an elite flashback Kane.

3 of them were internet exclusives, the first nearly a decade ago and the second over half a decade ago
They’ve been released very few and far between otherwise

You can’t just walk into any store and find that version because he has more current looks and the idea is if a kid sees Kane on TV they want the version they saw and not necessarily one from 22 years ago. The RIngside exclusive is perfect for hardcore collectors that still missed out on the 3 other releases of classic Kane. I probably paid almost $40 for a loose elite 12. Then I found a Target Hall of Champions years later for like $5 because Target can’t get their crap together. I did luck out on the basic and HoC figures because I saw them the one time I bought them. Now, an excuse to show off my Kane shelf!

The reverse colored WM one lingered around online forever. Amazon had it for around $10 for longest time.

I still would love an elite 12 kane but not too into it for the price. I have the hardcore exclusive so I am content with that

I’ve got:
Deadman’s Revenge (the Kane head stays on. I rarely if ever put the Taker head on it) WM 2000 Kane Elite 4 Kane RSC unmaskable Kane (still need to get a mask cause eBay seller ain’t include it) Welder mask Kane
The rest I look at those eBay prices and cringe haha

I have E12 Kane, I got him when he first hit retail. I'd never part with it

I always buy all the classic Kane figures. They seem to hold their value pretty well over time

The thing that kind of sucks about the classic Kanes that Mattel has made is that none of them are really that accurate. The mask sculpt isn't great and neither are the body sculpts, they're way too lanky looking when Kane had a bigger/bulkier build. It's a shame Mattel hasn't made a truly great, definitive/accurate masked classic Kane.

They recently rereleased E12 without the voicebox, we have the RSX Kane/Taker combo (I display it as Kane), and just a couple years ago we got the Mania reverse Kane. Hardcore Kane is a great figure in a great attire that could use a rerelease. Just speaking for myself but I’m all good on Kane’s.

My favourite era is 2001-2003 and the two figures that represent that era right now are money figures. There’s no way to get them cheap, not MOC anyway. A lot of collectors just aren’t parting with them. His Classic debut look was released twice (and once in the reverse gear) and then the latest RSC came out and it’s basically a release of it again. The other two just can’t be getting any cheaper, not until they’re released again. Hopefully the 2001 era Kane will get another release as I’d love to own it, it’s just too damn expensive for me for an Elite.

2001 kane with a larger torso, better sculpt and remove that ridiculous 'kane' logo off of his glove.
2002 kane with beard, sculpted mask and red knee pads.
This way people who want new versions will be happy, and those that get uppity about re releases devaluing their originals can relax as well.

He is an extremely popular character and makes great looking figures due to his look. I'm lucky I've managed to grab the odd few here and there but that is why, also because he has semi-retired as well it's getting even more unlikely we see any more Kane figures in the future.
