I feel like someone needs to address this and I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. The new Otis Elite has weird molded on knee pads. It's the only bad thing about Otis and/or Tucker. I hope they change it but they most likely won't. Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper to make new knee pads as opposed to creating new upper legs, lower legs, and knees?

It's been mentioned a bunch of times in the Toy Fair and Q&A threads.

I really don't see the issue honestly. You don't notice it unless you're looking for it

Otis has a unique body type. Mattel delivered on said body type from top to bottom, and in doing so, creatively adapted in order to deliver more than what could have otherwise been painted on kneepads.
WF complained. </circleoflife>

Really!! Who cares the figs look great, you don’t like do t buy why why is there always some complaint why can they just be enjoyed nothing n this world is perfect!!!! Nothing and it’s never going to be , if someone want to have a major riff then complain about distribution, that’s the problem there are series I’ve never even seen and now at this point don’t expect too..... so I quit the hunt which I loved but now I buy online that is a major riff distribution....otherwise the series looks great his figure looks great but I do have to say AEW looks fabulous

You'd rather have big Mark Henry kneepads that hinder articulation? I swear you can't win with some people...

I thought the figure looked amazing....I’ll add another one, I think that there are instances where the painted on kneepads look better and they should continue to use them. It’s def gonna be in most people’s top ten figures of the year, it looks amazing.

364 days out of the year, this place can't go an hour without "dae m'spreadsheets?!"
Mattel tools new parts to afford a unique character greater articulation, and they've suddenly lived long enough to see themselves become even more the villain.

It looks weird to me because you know they won't paint the inside of it that shows when bent. The wrong color hair & beard is disturbing too.

First I will say they are two figures I won’t be buying because I really don’t find them all that entertaining so I don’t need or want them in my collection. That said I do think the Otis figure was one of the more impressive figures shown by Mattel this weekend. And the knee pads look perfectly fine on him.

I agree that Otis’ hair color could be more accurate, but if I was wanting to buy the figure it wouldn’t deter me in any way.

I’m curious about the yolo county belts, myself. I wonder if they can actually bend or if they’ll be a hard plastic.

Mattel tools new parts to afford a unique character greater articulation, and they've suddenly lived long enough to see themselves become even more the villain. Spreadsheets are one of my favorite things in the past 5 years of this place. Wading through the daily schadenfreude and misery that mires this board, it never makes me not laugh when someone brings up "Spreadsheets"

If mattel can give all same accessories and deco for his tag partner they could have given Otis knee pads too. Even the same knee pads as Typhoon would have worked too.
Mattel has no issue doing new tooling (eg Bludgeon Brothers) for elites. So they spend more money to tool a "new" knee pad instead of giving him a knee pad they already created. C'mon

They look slightly odd but honestly that seems like a nitpick when you consider the entire figure. Definitely gonna be an elite fig of the year candidate
