Do you have any distinct memories from your figure fed from when you were a kid? Your first champion, a storyline you did, a gimmick match you invented, anything?!
I actually have a lot from mine. I remember Mr. Kennedy winning the first World Title in November of 2007. He finally lost it in March 2009 when Great Khali debuted and attacked him, causing Monty Brown to successfully cash-in his Money in the Bank contract.

I remember progressing in my level of detail and planning as I got older. I would plan all the matches and segments out in writing and try to have my "shows" at the same time each week. Also - different sets/entrances depending on the show! My cousin did something similar and we would sometimes have cross-promotion events. Crazy how much extra time you have as a kid to do that kind of stuff. lol

Once I was older I got so involved with making these storylines. I would also time my shows. I would start a stopwatch and do my weekly shows at 90 minutes and my PPVs at three hours. The cross-promotion events sound amazing! lol

I don’t remember any specific storylines, but I do recall that The Mountie was pretty consistently my Intercontinental Champion (A galoob WCW belt) and The Warlord was regularly the WWF Champ with Macho Man or Ultimate Warrior always on the hunt but coming up short.
Macho in orange trunks and Warrior in white trunks were my favorite Hasbros, but for whatever reason, I was big on the heels running the show!

One of the longest stories I did when I was younger was based around TNA's X-Division when they were first on Spike. I had a TTL Rikishi as Samoa Joe and a TTL Crash as Styles. Played out the saga where Joe ran thru a bunch of my midcard Cruiserweights, and Styles was the last standing warrior against him. Ended in a War Games-style 1v1 cage match. Had Styles scripted to win all thru it, but couldn't pull the trigger on match day; ended on a Muscle Buster off a ladder into a table. Good sh*t lol

In my mind have a clear end goal, then as I'm doing the match I would change the finish on the fly because I couldn't pull the trigger. lol

Goldust was my top star, along with Attitude Era staples like Austin, Rock, HHH, etc.
I don't remember any specific storylines, but I do remember having an epic 2/3 falls tag team match between LOD and Bret/Owen Hart that went most of the evening.
Brian Pillman and SCSA had a long running feud for the World Championship that I wish could have played out in real life.
Towards the end of my playing days (maybe mid-late 99?), Pillman, Dan Severn, and Al Snow became the top stars as I tried to find some fresh faces. Roster depth was a big issue during the BCA era in my fed. That was right around the time I discovered ECW airing late night on the public access cable station (11pm? midnight?), and I think my fed started to take on more of an ECW style of matches and booking.

Severn as a top guy is a great choice! I always thought about how the "fans" would react to my fig fed. Like if I had someone on top for a while I would think "the fans have to be sick of this" then I'd start pushing someone else. Creating new top guys to find some fresh faces!

Ah yeah, so I was born in 88 so I grew up playing with Hasbros which was just playing around (no matches, no set, ect) but I distinctly remember around the BCA-TTL days getting so heavily into it. It was the attitude era so it was cool at that age and all my friends were into it. I remember riding to one of my friends houses that lived about 5 blocks away in my subdivision with a laundry basket filled to the brim with figures and a ring balancing on top of it on my bike, I had to look like such a dork. (also this same friend is the one who told me when Owen Hart passed away... ppvs were expensive as hell so I had to choose which ones I could get, so I didn’t watch Over the Edge. The next morning before school my mom told me there’s an answering machine message from my friend James in which he told me, I remember being sad and just confused on what happened on the bus that morning)
Those were some great days of playing N64 (Warzone, Attitude, Wcw Revenge and World Tour I believe?) and playing with wrestling figures. I remember speculating with him what figures may be out next (as kids back then with no internet or toyfair subscription all we had to go by was the cardbacks so a lot of the time we’d find out about a new figure by seeing it on the shelf). - We’d do cross promotion events sometimes or we’d just hangout to “write” storylines for our respective feds or to create stuff like entrance stages or weapons. I remember going to his house one day and he was all excited telling me about an epic 60 minutes iron man street fight he had with Stone Cold and D-Lo Brown and how it was the push D-Lo needed to be a top star, haha.
Anyways long reply but definitely some of my favorite fed moments were just with friends and also creating pay per view sets, designing logos, writing stories ect... - I don’t think I had any crazy top stars that weren’t normal top stars aside from X-Pac and I know Kane had some major lengthy pushes as he was my favorite for a while. did do a storyline that had X-Pac go over Triple H for the title as he turned on DX with Kane and Undertaker’s help until Kane turned his back on them.

It does sound like the Attitude Era was such a fun time to be a fan! I also would make weapons for my toys! I would tape together four toothpicks to make a kendo stuck that would crack over the figures' backs. And I would use silver glitter as thumbtacks that I would keep in a small bag!

I made Chris Jericho the Undisputed NWA WWE WCW ECW World Heavyweight Champion of Champions...and then I stopped playing with toys, and viewed them as posable statues.

Ha, yes I also made Kendo sticks like that. I don’t think I ever had an idea for thumbtacks, that’s pretty good. - I think my dumbest “invention” was actually for the pyro/smoke effects in which I’d do a quick squeeze of a baby powder bottle. I remember my parents getting mad for wasting it plus it got everywhere and was a pain to clean up from the ring, figures, carpet...

I did something similar. It was after Joe/Angle had their Winner Take All match in TNA. Where I just put all the belts on one guy.

I had 2 Rick Rude Hasbro figs, I made them a tag team! They were Rick & Ron Rude, they beat the Bushwhackers in a 2/3 falls match for the tag titles. I know it sounds stupid but I was 9 or 10.

Most I ever did was put the World, Intercontinental, and both Tag Titles on Mr. Kennedy.

I used to have a faction that consisted of million dollar man, andre the giant, ric flair, Sgt slaughter and the big bossman. They always had a rivalry with hogan. Then during the rivalry, andre lost to hogan and the rest of the group replaced andre with the undertaker. The faction got undertaker to demolish andre with a steele chair. This led to hogan and andre joining forces.
Another rivalry I created was sycho sid vs kane, in a series of hardcore matches, then eventually it turned into a triple threat with the bigshow
