Ive decided to watch some of the recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown over the last couple of months on the network to catch up on things. I need a couple of things cleared up please..
What did Lana and Liv have going on when Liv interrupted her wedding? Why is Bobby Rude now, Robert Rude?
I think King Corbin is the best thing about Smackdown btw. Love his entrance.

No clue about the Robert Roode part.

Robert Rude wanted to take after his dad Rick Rude so he became Robert Rude.

Robert Rude wanted to take after his dad Rick Rude so he became Robert Rude. As good an explanation as any lol. Why do WWE do stupid things like this?

Only thing I can think of is Vince/WWE wants to own the name, they can't own Bobby Rude because he used that on record everywhere else, so they will repackage him and make sure everyone knows him as Robert Roode.

I'm guessing because that stache makes him look more like a Robert in Vince's head.

... Am I the only one that likes the name Robert Roode better than Bobby Roode? I just can't believe people are using that as an example of bad WWE decisions when 90% of the time if he got a name change it'd be to just Bobby.

Yeah and he was Robert Roode in TNA as well so it's not as if WWE came up with it.

And it goes with the whole "Glorious" gimmick. And say the name Robert Roode in the voice of Paul Heyman. Now say it that way but as Bobby Roode. Which name makes a better statement? That and they already have a Bobby in Bobby Lashley.

Going slightly off topic. I've started watching Wrasslin' again too, recently. One thing I've noticed is nobody sells. See Rhea Ripley last night. Charlotte Flair was working her leg, working towards her finisher. Rhea didn't sell it at all. Isn't that basic wrestling 101?! Or is she a terrible worker? Hobble, power through the leg that's been stretched over the ropes, kicked, put in a Boston crab etc

What did Lana and Liv have going on when Liv interrupted her wedding? She was trying to upstage them to get attention. Because Bobby Roode turned heel and it was part of the character change. Formalising your name is a bad guy thing to do. Like when Bobby Eaton became Robert Eaton, or when good old Vince McMahon became Mr Vincent Kennedy McMahon.

A lot of current wrestlers can bump really well, but it's rare that you see great selling anymore. I think Rhea did a decent job selling for modern wrestling. Actually, at the same time, expertly working the leg like Charlotte did is rare now too. Most matches now are more videogame-based, where it's just trading moves until someone wins. That NXT Women's title match was one of my favourite of the weekend.
