I recently went looking for this set recently thinking it would be easy to get...only to find out that they are impossible to track down. I managed to get the Flair from the set, but no luck on the others. Does anyone know why this set is hard to find? Was it in stores? I have seen a complete Dillion BAF on Ebay for over $200...I never would've thought this set would be hard to find...that's the reason I waited so long to try and get these. I guess I was thinking this would've been a shelf warming set...it appears I was completely wrong.

They were a one and done shipment at walmart and then randomly showed up at marshalls/tj maxx. Line was canceled and now prices are up because of the supply and demand.

It was in Walmart’s 2 years ago. Didn’t hang around too long, but neither did Paul Bearer if I remember right.

I actually saw a lot of them at my local Wal Marts in NEPA and Wal Mart website had them up very often when they were out a couple years ago.

Most of the Walmarts near me put the set on clearance almost as soon as they put it out. I don't think the set lasted long in walmart stores because the sku was getting killed to make room for other merch. Discount stores started getting the set at some point.

I only saw the flair one once - immediately bought it and haven’t opened it.
The other three I didn’t care about, but found them all in the wild.

I can't believe someone paid $220 plus shipping for a complete JJ a few weeks ago. They were going for like $75-90 before that.

People didnt want the set because it was Basics and now for whatever reason, it is in demand and the whole set or Jojo Dillon himself is $250?!

It did warm the pegs of WalMart for a few months when it was released at least Booker and Lex stayed around for a while. But that was at least a year or year and a half ago. I just looked at my thread to see when I found them and it was in Sept 2018. So that was almost 2 years ago.

That one I actually saw, but I don't think I ever saw it on the West Coast. I saw them when I was visiting Buffalo maybe two Decembers ago. There wasn't really anyone that I wanted though. If I could go back in time I'd get the Flair, but I don't really care that much.

I just want the JJ Dillion head. What sucks is he was only available in this set and has a BALLOON head. I fear this was a one and only  Maybe Mattel will release him again in a battle pack or something with a shrunken head? |

I never saw this set one time. I'm still pissed off about it. I eventually got Flair and Sting from e ba y, but haven't seen Booker or Lex for a decent price.

In September i found this WCW set and the Ron Simmons HOC, October 2018 found Harley Race. I miss getting excited about Mattel releases. |

They sat around for a good while near me. And I saw them on Amazon for maybe a little more than retail as well.
After the first FB basic set warmed and FB2 Elites ended up clearanced at many stores, Walmart probably cut their orders for basic 2 and FB 3 significantly and canned the line. So quantities are probably limited, but nothing that I'd pay those kind of prices for.
It's a damn shame - I think the line would have done really well had it continued. But questionable lineup selection claimed another casualty.

I saw the set once at a Walmart 45 min away. They must have had 6 of each character. I only got the flair. Never saw the set in any of the 5 closer Walmarts.

I got Sting on eBay last year, and then stopped trying to get the rest since I heard they were popping up at discount stores and assumed I could get them at a better price if I waited...But now they've disappeared.

I found a beat up packaging Flair in a TJ Maxx by himself some point in 2019. He was my favorite in the set but I would’ve gotten all of them to build J.J.
None before or after. Was not checking the Wal-Mart site at the time but I lost hope of finishing this set probably by this time last year.
