I'm sure this will have been discussed before so please forgive me if it has - I haven't seen it. The issue with black robes rubbing off on figures, I've only had experience of this with Yoko flashback and recently Rude...there must be something that gets the marks off without damaging the figure, does anyone have an answer for this? Also, has anyone tried washing the robes to try and avoid it happening again?? Or am I talking crazy? I've not opened a figure with an alternative colour robe...Red rooster or the retrofits flair come to kind...is the dye issue just with black robes or does it happen with other colours too?

Not just black robes/shirts. Reds also. I wash every soft goods shirt /robe as soon as I get it to remove the excess dye. People claim to get the stains out of the figures but I have yet to see it because it’s bled into the plastic.

I sent my stained Rudes to him and he got them cleaned

Lacquer thinner and some gloss spray or oxy maximum action spot remover will work. Apply the oxy on the stain and let it sit in sunlight for a few days and it will lift the stain.Hair dryer will also work but it can take weeks. There are videos on the net explaining it more. The lacquer will leave white discoloration but the gloss spray will hide it. I prefer the oxy myself. I used the lacquer on Rude and it worked but I really had to scrub for hours to remove every stain. I'm just sticking with the Oxy going forward.

Type staining in the wfigs search engine and find the staining on chase rude thread. Axe shows u how to do the Lacquer thing and Tarver89 shows u how the oxy [benzoyl peroxide]works.
