RIP Animal, a wrestling icon for sure. He seemed like he was in good health. Always seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders and that he loved his family very much. Another piece of the childhood gone. Lod lod lod lod lod lod

I saw Bret Hart’s post about it on Facebook earlier and one of the pictures in particular hit me hard. It was from a Survivor Series and the pic was from a promo with Him, Anvil, LOD, and Mean Gene. I saw it and my first thought was “Damn. Another group pic where Bret is the only person still alive.” Reminded me of the Hart Foundation pic with all the dead members greyed out.

I saw this last night when I went to check the Classic board. Very unexpected and sad. The Road Warriors were and are the greatest Tag Team in professional wrestling. Rest In Peace.

Been watching their stuff all day.....their match vs the Godwinns @ Summerslam 97 is very underrated. I still hate that a very short time after they beat the Godwins to win the belts they lose them to the New Age Outlaws(one of the most overrated tag teams of all time).

Animal was actually from Philadelphia. well crap! I just assumed since he trained with Verne and Ed Sharkey Its still amazing how many bouncer/street fighter type guys from Minneapolis ended up in wrestling back in the 80s.

2 days late, but this one really sucked. One of the wrestlers I actually got to meet and have a real talk with. Great guy...and he loved telling stories man.

Just saw it was a heart attack. I hope he went in his sleep. Undeniably, the Road Warriors changed the face of pro wrestling in the early 80s. I myself had their huge poster on my wall for many years that you could only get from Pro Wrestling Illustrated.
Rest peacefully, Animal.
