I was just watching a RAW from 2005 that had Snitsky/Angle/Edge/Chris Masters Vs HBK/Cena/Big Show/Matt Hardy. This match went on for around 20 minutes and was so exciting to watch. The crowd was so hot. This led me to watch the WrestleMania All-Stars tag from RAW after Mania 25 with Steamboat/Punk/Jeff Hardy/Cena/Rey Vs Big Show/Edge/Jericho/Kane/Matt Hardy. This match was so exciting, too, and the crowd was so into it!
I really, really miss when they'd pair up faces and heels for big tag matches. These seemed like such a staple in TV wrestling for awhile, or at least just on special occasions for RAW and SD. It seems like we used to get these types of matches all the time. In recent years, it just seems like we get sort of random two-on-two tags once in awhile, or these matches are only given around ten minutes. What happened? I am really missing these types of matches that really delivered.
What were some of your favorite multi-man tags from TV?
EDIT: What made me even consider this in the first place was the idea that we just had Bryan/Owens and Profits Vs Cesaro/Nakamura/Roode/Ziggler last week on SD.

I liked the match where John Cena and Randy Orton had to take on the entire Raw roster

Didnβt they just have an 8 man tag with Retribution vs Hurt Business last week I am thinking less about four flatline characters versus another faction; more four-five main event babyfaces versus four-five main event heels. They kind of fell off the map with giving out these sorts of matches on TV when they seemingly happened pretty often and were made to feel really big.

I would take 4 on 4 matches if it meant not having to see the same 10 characters in the same battles month after month.

If you're missing 10 man tags, go watch some AEW, every match there seems to be a tag match.

Oh cawd, why would anyone really miss those?! They always end up in a huge cluster"you know what". The less of those matches on tv, the better.

Favorites: Any in a feud tag match combo house show matches they did on Smackdowns from 2012/13 up until 2015. Or that match in 2000 where some combination of the Godfather and Too Cool were wrestling and midway through the pimp daddy got on the mic and said something along the lines of: "Man, we can fight anytime, let's party." Then the hos' and everybody got in the ring and danced.

Weren't they doing 8/10 man 2/3 fall tag matches for the majority of last year?

They still happen at least once or twice a year. The Tyson Fury/Braun Strowman feud started in one.

Honestly they're fun in limited occasion. Like the one Raw you mentioned after WM 25 or the one on the King Of The Ring 2008 Raw. They're really fun for house shows. And some times really really fun on TV and may add good way to build to PPV match. They just overused it. Like Teddy Long's SmackDown I am look at you. I felt like every week. Blah Blah Blah and Blah Blah Blah have singles match, but the rival of Blah Blah Blah 1 gets into it but Blah Blah Blah 2's rival equals the playing odds, Long intervenes and makes it tag team match. That felt like it became strong trend in 2011 and only got worse year by year on SmackDown. Especially in post 2012, where I felt SmackDown lost any sense of separate feeling of Raw. Because if you notice in 2011-2012 time period some sense of brand extension is kinda there. But from 2013-2015 SmackDown literally felt like the tag team show from Raw. And it just felt like nonestop rematches of Raw. It just made SmackDown look and feel useless and worthless. So I support bringing them back, just not for cheap easy booking.
