Hi everyone,
just a question i've been trying to figure out by searching for both teams online, but which tag team is more sought after?
Legends 1 Road Warriors or Legends 4 Demolition?
Hardly see either of these online these days but when they do appear, they roughly go for same prices, like upwards of 300 Dollars.
Is either team more valuable than the other?

There’s only one set of Demolition

I would say looking at pricing Def Demolition right now. Road Warriors had two different elite sets and a pretty damn good basic set.

Demolition.
E30 legion of doom is a more iconic look so it brings down L1 Road warriors a little compared to demolition imo

Demolition. E30 legion of doom is a more iconic look so it brings down L1 Road warriors a little compared to demolition imo This is what I was going to post. Legends 1 wasn't their most iconic look, so that makes them not quite as sought after as if it was their E30 look. Now, if Legends 1 and Elite 30 were swapped? Demolition might be in trouble.

I disagree that LOD was their most iconic look. And this is someone who primarily watched WWF during the 80s and 90s. Road Warriors were main eventers in NWA and AWA and were always showcased on the covers every wrestling magazine. Even if you only watched WWF you knew who the Road Warriors were. When they came to WWF they were underutilized and treated as just another tag team and never reached the status they had with other organizations.

You’re correct on their popularity, but I think most people consider E30 to be the more iconic look because the colors are more eye catching and it’s more recent. Once they had that gear, they pretty much kept variations of it for the rest of their careers. Also, E30 uses more accurate bodies for them.

I think ultimately Demolition will be the more desirable, and are also pretty hard to find complete. I have a feeling LOD/Road Warriors will be getting figures in the Jazwares/AEW line at some point. Demolition is a little less likely, imo - particularly Crush.

Every word you said about their career is 100% accurate. However, I think that even with that being said, the red shoulder pad look has become their best known/most iconic. It's similar to Reggie Jackson IMO. His time as an A is what his entire Hall of Fame legacy is built on, and inarguably the highest point of his career as a baseball player, but the image of him from his five years as a Yankee is probably the one he's most associated with by everyone except A's fans.. (Though granted, it's not a perfect comparison since Reggie did comparatively more as Yankee than LOD did in WWE).

Fair points but I do think a lot of people for years have been trying to sell the narrative that the L1 Road Warriors were not iconic at all and that Mattel made a horrible choice choosing that look for them. I may concede that the LOD look may be what first pops in most people’s mind when they think of the tag team but Road Warriors look is also highly recognizable. Especially for those of us alive during the height of their popularity.

Both awesome sets. In my opinion, the Road Warriors. The part choices were off for Animal but other than that still a great figure.

Well, if I didn’t have all of them already personally I would want the Road Warriors more. As for the secondary market value I wouldn’t know because I don’t believe in it.

What’s not to believe? 😂 The prices people think they are worth. I buy what I buy because I like it. Not because someone thinks it’s going to go up in price in the future. And if I couldn’t find it at retail I am not going to spend the inflated secondary market prices people ask for. I just won’t get it then. If it wasn’t something I wanted enough to preorder and I can’t find it locally then I just won’t get it. In my opinion there’s no $20 mass produced mass retail figure that’s now worth $100 +.

I think Demolition, particularly Ax is very sought after. Smash was, for some reason, more readily available on Ebay and on overseas sites. I actually just sold an extra Ax, two sets of gauntlets and one mask this morning. Still have Smash, who had little interest online.

I help run a traveling merchandise booth that sets up at shows in the midwest/south
Demolition is asked for more than road warriors however, both are asked for a lot.
also oddly bobo brazil and koko b ware in the south
