...does anybody else wish it were an Elite? Dont get me wrong, I love the UE. I got one on the way and may order another to open. But for several reasons I cant articulate right now because I'm work, I just kinda wish it were an Elite. Anybody?

The Ultimates rub some people a weird way. Some prefer the classic elite articulation or,don’t like the price point but overall I think the ultimates are superior figures. It’s still extra articulation and some more accessories so I’ll take it. The only thing I wish is for the figure to be more accurately tan

It’s in the plan for Hollywood to get a regular elite I’m sure

We will be getting an Elite Hollywood at some point. I'm pretty happy with the Ultimate Edition myself.

it must be good enough if you bought one, and are considering buying another... theres a reason people are selling out UE figures. i like elites ab crunch better, thats prob because thats we have gotten for 10 years.. and because they move better and look a little better , but the UE figs are the better figure.

I wish a lot of UE were elites. 30-40 bucks for one figure is silly, but they’re nice. Just needs to justify the price. Multiple heads, titles, or great soft goods. The arms are cool, but Mean Gene got extra arms and jacket.

My only real criticism about the UE Hollywood is the limited forward movement in his torso. And it's such a shame too, because the double elbows and butterfly joints are fantastic, but it sucks that Hollywood still can't really do a convincing 'Big Boot' or even a leg drop, because he can't get that full crunch forward.
Honestly, I wish they would do their torsos like the AEW line, because the combo of the mid-torso ball joint AND the ball joint at the waist is literally perfect and allows for great range
I do also wish Mattel figures in general had better ankle articulation, but even more so for UE's because while the hinged toes are a nice touch, the limited ankles almost cancel them out.

I want an Elite Hollywood (and several other Elite Hogans).
Since they started to add extra hands and heads to the Elites, I feel like UE figures are less of a value, though they do well to pack in the accessories with them.
With Walmart selling some Elites for 16, having to drop 35 or 40 (or more) online is a bit of a pill to swallow with the Ultimates, but that's just how I look at it. I know they're crazy popular and well done by Mattel. Hogan is one of the best so far.

I don't own any Ultimate Editions. I can never justify the high price for one figure

I’m with you in wishing it was an elite instead of Ultimate. I bought it and received it already and honestly, the only reason I got it was because it was Hollywood Hogan. Once I got over the fact that I finally owned him, I can’t help but see the eye sore that is the ab articulation. I do like the accessories and I honestly think UE’s are worth the money if you really like the line. I’m just more invested in the elite line and really don’t need multiple heads. Once he has elites released, I’ll gladly pick them up.

I think it’s a great figure and justifies the price point. All you need to look at is his accessories and the fact that he brings three heads. Not to mention, he also has butterfly joints - a new addition. The only thing I don’t like about this figure is the ab articulation. Mattel has yet to execute it on the UE. They need to take some cues from storm collectibles and widen up the mid section. I still want another WCW Hogan from ‘96-98, possibly a Starrcade version with his film tights and open handed gloves. I also disagree and think the price point is okay at $30 for these figures. People wanted entrance greats which literally brought 1/3 of the accessories these did and had less articulation. I’m in no way a Mattel fanboy, and I enjoy their products, but this is their premium line.

I'm not bothered by it...I actually think the body type fits Hogan better than an Elite would have. Plus I'm sure we'll get a 1999 Wolfpac Elite at some point.

Nah, I'm fine with this being a UE.

Dont worry if its one thing Mattel loves to do is release a highly sought after fig in an expensive line and then release an Elite later on.

I agree I wish it was a elite too.the UE are great figures except the torso it's the only thing I hate about them.the elites have better movement IMO. I mean look at the fiend his looks bad compared to his elites. yes the figure in general looks good but the torso is horrible.

Got mine today. It’s badass. Only complaint is his brown beard by his handlebar is messed up but otherwise it looks great.

Shoulda came with more hands. Definitely shoulda came with “Too Sweet” hands. Also coulda came with “suck It” hands for his iconic flex or listen to the crowd pose.

We’ll get an elite at some point I’m sure. Only thing I don’t like about this Hollywood figure (besides the Torso) is the Weight Belt. Jakks had a better belt. You’d think For $40+ mfer would be top notch on the quality of the figure and the accessories.
