Vince McMahon made history just a few weeks prior by being victorious in the Royal Rumble Match while spoiling the party of arch rival Steve Austin. But much to the Chairman's chagrin, standard protocols of his own company forced his hand into defending the coveted main event spot against Stone Cold in a solid steel cage. Would Austin finally dole out a grade-A a** whooping on the boss and go on to the WWE Championship match, or did Mr. McMahon have a final trick to pull on this big show? Mankind and The Rock had been locked in a vicious feud over the top title in the Fed, brutalizing one another while trading the top prize back and forth. The latest contest would see Mankind as champion going into a Last Man Standing Match. Would he or Mr. Maivia be tough enough to endure the onslaught?
