I'm a loose collector for my elites. I like to keep the masters of the wwe universe moc because I like the way they look. I never found a decent mr t in the stores so I bought him on Amazon for $40. Shipped in a padded envelope. 😡 card creased heavily and a big inventory sticker on the back. Needless to say it's being returned immediately.
What other horror stories do moc collectors have buying online? Which places tend to have the best track record of shipping non damaged or otherwise ruined moc figures?

I’ll start by saying Ringside and a large amount of individual secondary sellers are usually excellent. That said,..my worst experience was perhaps the very first order I ever made at Rsc. I really don’t think it was their fault, the shipping box was dented on a corner and the figure ended up loose from the inner plastic bubble holder. It was rse macho king and I had just begun collecting and had previously decided to get every elite macho man to keep moc. I was a bit scorned after so I refused to buy another one and now the figure is still as I received it at the extreme bottom of my moc’s in storage boxes. Thankfully Ive made more orders since with rsc and the packages arrive very nice and well packed. Walmart site to store sometimes puts that ing sticker on the box. I hate that Also the larger retailers always seem to scuff up the figure boxes somehow. Especially the window always looks like shet

Anything from Target is guaranteed to be beaten up in my experience.

Everything I've bought from rsc has always arrived in perfect condition. When I buy from a second hand seller, I like asking for pictures of every angle so there's nothing I'm not able to look at closely before I spend the money.

If I buy a non-retail figure on Amazon I make sure it’s coming directly from the seller and not from an Amazon facility. Never had an issue doing it that way. In my early days collecting I had a few 3rd party orders come from a facility and they were badly damaged, and one came in an envelope.
Also had a couple bought for retail from Amazon that were damaged. The worst was a Top Picks Finn that was totally crushed. From Walmart with the collectors edition Taker I ordered 2 and they came destroyed in a bag. A Survivor Series Jeff Hardy also came damaged in a bag.

I’m not a MOC collector but most all my figures that I’ve ordered online, the package/boxes have came in good shape. Only problems I’ve had (like with all online ordering) is factory errors. Paint app, missing accessories, etc.

Amazon is a crap shoot. Been better recently though. Target is terrible. Nearly everything is damaged , Walmart just as bad. Getting MOC online is very difficult in general. Unless u pay the extra fee for superior packaging even RSC items come with packages that have damage.

Walgreens has actually been doing a great job recently. Both moon knights and both surfers came individually wrapped in bubble wrap and the cards were perfect. Other than that everything has been hit and miss.

When I ordered my L8 Ultimate Warrior from Target.com It arrived in a huge box. I'm a loose collector so I was surprised at the size of the box it came in.

Unless u pay the extra fee for superior packaging even RSC items come with packages that have damage. Rarely do I have an issue with RSC. In recent months I got a couple orders where it seemed like they packed the box a little too tight though. I think it caused the plastic on the inside of my E81 Austin to crack a little bit. Unless it was just a coincidence and was already like that.

I've never had a problem with RSC, but then the only ones I collect MOC are AEW and my AEW figures I only buy one or two at a time, so they're not in a box with a bunch of other figs.
Most of what I buy outside of AEW is listed as "Damaged Packaging"
I will say that anything I've ordered outside of RSC is hit or miss. I've bought figures from eBay that came so badly damaged the figures had paint rub. They were still in package, but someone stomped them and the figures have missing paint. I was furious.
But in my experience, if you want MOC, pay the extra and buy RSC in defenders.

I ordered the same thing from Target.com only I ordered 2 of them. They came in a huge box with very little protection. Luckily they weren't badly damaged but one of them had the microphone missing from his hand. Ordered 2 of the Ghostbusters Undertaker figures from walmart last year and one was badly damaged and one was NM. Packaged well, but I was annoyed that they would ship something so messed up. The box it was mailed in was fine. It was clear that it was damaged before they even shipped it.

If I buy a figure from eBay or a seller, I ALWAYS message them straight away, saying I'm a Mint-On-Card collector and to please pack it with care/in a box etc.
If I buy a figure from Amazon, I usually order 2 or 3 together - or order it with another large(ish) item, to avoid the dreaded padded-envelope-of-doom.

Was gonna keep my legends 8 moc, the packages looked like they were stomped a few times and then held under water for a few hours.

I am a MOC collector and I just bought multiples of all the fan takeover elites that way they have to ship them in a box. I will keep the best ones and return the rest.

I'm not a MOC collector but when I would order from ToysRUs the packages would be bent on the corners. Like someone just shoved it into the box.
