Does anyone know what Yammer is?
I work for Home Depot and we have a social media called Yammer.
I am trying to build a long term leadership program in our company (I know...lofty goals)...so I've been posting a few things on Yammer to get started. Somehow I clicked a link that said like 15 people are following me. Most are district people, which is probably pretty good as a start for my idea so I can get in touch with them. I know a few of them in person but not on social media.
Now that I go back and check I can't find this spot that said these folks are following me. I'm pretty much computer illiterate except for the basics. I just want to make sure these "higher ups" actually took the time to "follow" me so when I try to present them with my ideas, they know who I am.
Edit: Google directions do not seem to be correct, there is no "gear" icon on lower left so please don't say just "google"

Is this one of those internal social media things retail companies make you sign up for? When I worked for Sears, we had one of those...Pebble. Nobody actually wanted to use it, but we were all forced to create accounts, and then from the lowest level of management on up, we were required to regularly "engage" with the network. The best part is that the validity all sort of fell apart when it was revealed that the most enthusiastic user, an employee named Eli Wexler who logged more time on the network than anyone else and routinely argued with anyone even slightly critical of the company/product/etc., was actually Ed Lampert under a pseudonym.
Forced engagement is the easiest way to push service and retail personnel right out the door.

Is this one of those internal social media things retail companies make you sign up for? Everyone has an account as long as they sign in but it's an optional thing. It's really not even talked about, it's just a thing you find out about from word of mouth or by checking different apps on the work training page. It's pretty cool, I think. It's only me and a new customer service manager from our store posting, for the people from our store, but I'm hoping to get some more people on. It's pretty neat because you can chat with people all over in different positions and locations. There's different sections and it seems like when I original came I stumbled on the bitter veterans page but now what I see is more of a happier, more position section. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

When I read yammer, I thought about about something else. Like a pistol or weapon of some sort. This sounds like it’s one of those apps you need for work. At some of my previous jobs we had these group chats and other apps where we did surveys and small tests. It was annoying.

Hoping someone may have an idea to help me. I clicked on "try new yammer" on my home computer. The page then starts flickering a logo for "real secureID access" and just keeps flickering the logo. So now I can't access this site from home as somehow it also happened on a lap top in the house.
I can probably do it from work since maybe their severs accept the BS real secure thing versus my 10+ year computers. But this site is what I enjoy doing when I'm in between packing orders for my home business. You all can see I'm a dummy when it comes to internet, so hoping someone has an idea.

I have heard about it, but in my company we have never used it. I also try to be a leader, but I don't do it on social networks. I try to improve the company and make work easier for the employees. I often read various blogs, such as apix-drive.com/en/blog/how-to/google-sheets-and-clicksend-integration . It is interesting for me and also helps me to improve. I wish you luck in your leadership!

My company uses Tout! (not really, I refuse to believe that anyone outside of the "WWE Universe" used that app). Never heard of Yammer though.

I have heard about it, but in my company we have never used it Ours has pretty much become a platform for complaining. It's mostly people who have been employed for decades, have the best pay grade and stock options when the stock was much lower but think things were better "back in my day." There are some newer folks who try to post more positively but the negative threads get all the attention.
