Enjoyed the show. Can't believe they actually aired the Tyson/Drew singalong but it was a pretty cool end to the night.
The Dominik heel turn caught me off guard. Like, it's had to come eventually but I just wasn't expecting it last night so that was a nice surprise.
Drew/Roman was incredible. That match had everything.
I hated Roman as a face, but it's undeniable that heel Roman over the past two years has been a fantastic run and one of the best Championship reigns in years.

Other than Sizzle, who has an unhealthy love for Cody, tell me WHY you all want Cody to be the one? Again, he was meh at best in his first run. Had some moments, but was never the man. He was meh in AEW. Had his moments but was never the man. Now all the sudden he's god-tier? I'm scracthing my head over here. Cody is DULL as dull can be. I'm not particularly invested in Reigns vs Rhodes personally, but it's easy to see why people want it. Cody left WWE a boy, grew up, spent three years being head and shoulders above everyone in AEW, and returned a man. Not just a man, but a man with a mission - to win the title his father couldn't. To complete his family's legacy. Then on the other side, there's Roman Reigns, tribal chief of the bloodline. Who is not only in God mode himself but also happy to use his relatives to hold on to his success, and they're happy to do it because it puts food on all of their tables. And whereas Cody returned to a hero's welcome just for coming back, Roman never left - he was putting in the grind for years, never getting the acknowledgement he deserved. Its the prodigal son vs the one who has been holding it down the entire time. But it's also the prodigal son vs the golden boy, as Roman broke through the glass ceiling that forced Cody to leave in the first place. There are also smaller things in their history - Cody was one of the first wrestlers to pin Reigns during the Rhodes family vs Shield rivalry, and took one of the first epic superman punches. Mainly it comes down to the start of Cody's walkout theme: "Wrestling has more than one royal family." Then the same fans will inevitably turn on Cody Rhodes just like they turned on Cena, Reigns, Rollins, McIntyre etc. But his title win is still going to be a great moment for a lot of people. Thank you. Another look into others' mindset. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is that Dusty was NWA/Crockett. He was an absolute JOKE in WWF. So Cody winning it for his family just doesn't sit well with me after what Vince did to that very family. Dustin into Goldust for crying out loud. Also, had Cody never starred in AEW no one would give a rat's ass. He'd be "old Cody who has been in Japan" and this story wouldn't stick. You can argue that this is all about WWE stealing someone from AEW thus it being a "win" ... but when so many AEW fans didn't like Cody's run to begin with there's no win. But hey, if the majority of fans feel like you do ... let him beat Roman.

You really on here talking about unhealthy love? You’re the guy who says Kenny Omega is the god of pro wrestling and his return gave your life meaning again. Nobody has to explain their fandom to you. Ok, Undertaker fanboy. I was being sarcastic about Kenny giving my life meaning ... but yes, I do think he's the best pro wrestler in the business. And yes, I do ponder why people want Cody to be the man ... which you did not answer. Cody was decently over in WWE before the Stardust character. He hit his ceiling in WWE and got frustrated and wanted out. He got out and went on to become one of, if not the hottest guy on the indie scene and played a major role in starting AEW. Cody was the most over guy in AEW for a long time. AEW fans turned on Cody, albeit some of his promos and storylines didn’t help, but he’s essentially the same character in WWE. WWE fans typically have more investment in story, character, backstory, family history, etc so he was welcomed back with open arms.

I very obviously play up my fandom for Cody to get a rise out of people, but in actuality it just makes so much sense for Cody to be the guy who beats Reigns. Someone mentioned it earlier about the intro to Cody's music and how that can apply to him opposing the Bloodline. That's just part of it.
I didn't even like Cody much in AEW after his first few feuds. I've been outspoken about my dislike for anything after his Brodie Lee feud and felt much of it was very self-serving and lacked any semblance of self awareness but I really feel like some of AEW's best moments included Cody such as the Dustin match, and the MJF and Brodie feuds. To me, they were all the essence of pro wrestling and it's something that I felt he drifted away from later in his AEW run. His return to WWE was, to me, a return to that old form. Who better to dethrone an unstoppable beast from a family with a storied history full of success than someone who is on a clearly defined quest to bring a championship to his family that has never reached the top of the mountain. On top of that, I feel like his feud with Rollins was incredible and the hell in a cell match was star making and the ultimate baby face performance. I think that's what really put him over the edge as a top tier member of the roster in WWE.

Thats true. I've never been a Cody Rhodes fan at all , but his comeback feud with Rollins was excellent and made him live up to his ridiculous entrance. He seemed like a deluded clown in AEW, presenting himself like a Superstar when everyone else was happy playing wrestler with their friends. But that bombast fits much better on the grand stage. And Vince and HHH would always keep him from indulging his own nonsense instincts, like conquering racism in America by beating a black man from England.

I did. Was a brilliant show. Gunther and Sheamus MOTN for sure, but main event and riddle vs rollins also great. Thought Drew had it! And that's what makes wrestling awesome.

I feel like the crowd would have enjoyed the IC title going on last and letting Sheamus win so it’s a historic babyface win to conclude the show. Like I miss when shows had happy endings. I’ve been thinking about how Roman could have done a heel promo and they could have had the title match earlier in the night and kept the heat strong on Roman.

I think that is the case since they weren't in Canada a few weekends ago for the Smackdown show either and that's where Roman had Sami help him out.

Yeah Cody has to beat Roman for the WWF title for this entire story to make sense. He left because Vince didn’t see him as the guy, while Vince was grooming Roman as the guy. Now he’s back to not only do what his dad couldn’t, be WWF Champ, but to also show he’s the guy. It’s one of the better stories in wrestling in a while and I’m sure Hunter knows that.

The way the whole story has been told so far, has been excellent in regards to Cody being a big star. His feud with Seth produced 3 of the best matches of the year, and if his injury hadn't happened who knows where we'd be right now. I feel that Cody/Roman has to happen at Wrestlemania, I'm more than happy to have Roman champion up until then and that would be the biggest payoff to his reign which has been fantastic. Cody winning the Rumble surely is where they're going and then on to 'Mania.

I can wait until Mania for Cody to take the belts. Worth it for the rumble return and win too. Really hope the rehab lines up properly for it cuz that part is outside anyone's control 100%.
I really enjoyed the show. Sheamus/Gunther was legit as hell. I watched late, heard about the singing so I shut it off as soon as Roman pinned drew but really good match.

Awesome, very cool that you were there. Gunther/Sheamus was definitely match of the night for me as well. Haven't been so interested in Sheamus since...probably '09, when he took the belt off Cena.
