   Raw preview, May 8, 2023: World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Begins TONIGHT!
Since the World Heavyweight Championship was introduced a few weeks ago, the buzz has been electric, with much of the WWE Universe wondering who could be the first champion.
The wait is now over, as 12 Superstars have been announced to compete for the title. The competitors from Raw include:
Cody Rhodes
Damian Priest
Finn Bálor
Seth "Freakin" Rollins
Shinsuke Nakamura
The Miz
Two triple threat matches involving these Superstars will take place tonight with the winners of both matches advancing to the semi-finals later that night. Who will advance to potentially make history at WWE Night of Champions? Tune in to Monday Night Raw on USA at 8/7 C to find out!
 Trish Stratus returns to Monday Night Raw TONIGHT!
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is set to appear on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw just weeks after costing Becky Lynch and Lita the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Stratus shocked the WWE Universe by savagely attacking and berating her supposed friends and continuing the verbal assault on social media.
After the attack of Lynch, Stratus appeared on the red brand and surprisingly demanded an apology, believing Lynch has taken all the shine from pioneers like herself.
What will Stratus say when she hits the ring and grabs a mic? Tune in to Monday Night Raw on USA at 8/7 C to find out! |

Rollins vs. Priest vs. Nakamura
Miz vs. Balor vs. Rhodes
If the main event isn't Rhodes vs. Rollins, I'll be extremely surprised

Lesnar is here tonight so I’m thinking he’ll take out Cody
It’s looking like Seth vs Finn in the main event with Seth most likely winning

Seth/Finn should've been the finals at NoC but at least we'll probably still get it. The only real question is when is Brock gonna cost Cody,triple threat or the main event. I hope Trips sees its a clear cut right answer here.

Brock takes out Cody before the main event tonight, is named the replacement as a free agent. Brock beats whoever in the main event. Brock wins the World Heavyweight Championship at Day of Champions.

That sounds great to me,I said in the other thread Priest probably wouldn't be a popular winner but I think it would be a great twist and give Priest the spotlight. Priest/Balor In the main event,with Priest getting the win with Dom and Rhea by his side sounds like some good tv to me. |

Have Priest win the RAW side. Have Edge win the Smackdown side. Priest beats Edge clean. Then boots Finn for not being able to do the same.
