MVP was the first to come to mind (other than Carlito)
Dude was part of the Smackdown backbone from 2006 to mid 2008. Then somehow during a time of rebuild during the summer of ‘08 (guys like Kozlov, Benjamin, Hardy, Kendrick were all getting pushes) he somehow ended up in some silly losing streak storyline.
Guy had the promo chops to be World Champ, and ring skills had improved since debut.
He kinda fit into this group of guys that seemingly got these long mid-card pushes but once it came to them being in the Main Event picture, its like Vince had no desire to do anything with them (Benjamin, Carlito, MVP, Masters, Morrison, etc…)
