I feel like 25 years of Edge is very inaccurate here being he was out of wrestling from 2011 - 2020 With that being said, Edge was my favourite wrestler in WWE from 2001 - 2011 when he retired. But now?? Meh. I don't hate him but I wouldn't say I am a fan of his like I was during that Ruthless Aggression era of his. He was still around occasionally during his retired years tbh

He was poised from the get go to be a main event talent by Vince.

A lot like Triple H in the sense that they were always on top but sharing the spotlight with someone else, and they always became Star #1-B.
Edge is without a doubt one of the most legendary wrestlers ever but he was always the second best guy on the roster, even when he was presented as THE GUY.
Will always be one of my favorites and he is one of the people that come to mind first when I'm thinking about the wrestling that I love.

I'd say he's as good as Cena/Orton/HHH etc, back in 06/07/08 he was untouchable even in 09 too. 2010/2011 were good years for him but I think he could have been a huge babyface if he never retired back then...

I'm saying -- whether it was being a lesser talent or just how timelines shook out -- when he was slated to be the top guy, there was always someone around who was hotter or being pushed harder on the other show. Triple H seemingly was always victim to this, too. I'm not even talking the reign or terror, or later years when fans think he was only top tier because of politics. But when it was time to finally make Triple H the guy, there was just always another bigger, better talent squaring up to him. Edge had a lot of the same issue. Often outshined by one or two other guys when Edge is supposed to be THEE guy. I'm sure it happens all of the time in wrestling but it always seemed to happen with these two.

Yep good point...Edge and HHH were both great but there were always guys like Austin,Rock,Cena,Orton,Batista,Foley,Taker etc around... it was a tough one for guys like Edge/HHH to be the number one guys on the roster with all that talent around. Edge was one of the best performers back then 100%.

Only really grew fond of him during the Rated R era if I'm honest. His return has been pretty average in my opinion, especially since he has that tragic haircut, but it was good to see him back nethertheless. I hope he gets a good retirement Match at Wrestlemania 40.

Although I feel his return has left a lot to be desired he was one of my favorites in 2002, i was happy when he returned in 2004 and speared Bischoff and he was one of the first heels i actually found myself beginning to cheer in 05. 06 he was one of my favorites and it also that year that i got a little tired of Cena I was full behind Edge I was happy for him becoming WWE Champion and loved the Rated R champion. Edge will always have a place in my top 10 and close to top 5.
