Edge recently celebrated his 25th anniversary in the WWE with him debuting all the way back in 98... crazy stuff. I really am surprised to see em still around til this day.
He could be retiring for good soon but overall I’d say he’s one of the biggest & best to ever do it, he’s easily one of my own favs of all time and I’d even say that he’s underrated in a way.... he really deserves tons of respect.
I enjoyed every run of his career and he’s up there with some of the best heels in the business... what a heel run he had !!

Done it all, won it all. From the most humble of beginnings. A Hall of Fame career & an all time great heel. One of the best to ever do it. It was sad to see him but it was amazing to see him return. Thank you Edge.

i don’t dislike the guy, but I never saw him as a main event level talent. he also looks a bit like an alien.

One of the best workers WWE has ever had imo. Doesn't get enough credit for his part of the Smackdown six (neither does Chavo). Great talker, great worker, great look, great build, great theme, great entrance, willing to give back to the business that he loves and entertaining from start to finish. In order for me to personally care about a babyface, they need an equally well rounded heel to work off of. For Cena it was Edge/Orton/Angle/Punk the same way it was HHH/Austin/Jericho for The Rock or HHH/McMahon/Rock for Stone Cold. Edge played his role well. I can't say I ever foreseen him becoming a world champion but with the brand split, a lot of deserving talent got their shot to showcase their abilities that otherwise would've been overlooked with one top title in play. Used to hate him growing up (as was his job as a heel) now I appreciate him for all he's done and the moments he's made from my childhood to adult life. It was surreal to see him return after the world thought he was done for good and after such a long hiatus too.
TLDR; hell of a guy, hope he gets to retire on his own terms this time and it will be a bittersweet moment when he decides to hang them up for good

His first run was brilliant, shame most of his title runs were too short.
However his second run is a bit dull to me. I feel like outside of his feud with Reigns he has won all his fueds. I feel like he should have put over Bálor, the Miz and others.

Edge was one of few bright spots in the late 00s. Felt like he's kinda underapprecisted there.
His Undertaker & Cena feuds were great stuff.

One of the all timers. Far superior as a heel. Great tag wrestler too. I’d love to see him with one last title reign, but I get it. Will be sad when he actually hangs them up.

I’ve never seen the big deal about Edge. He’s had a few good matches, none of which I’d go out of my way to rewatch.

Certified legend status. Always been a fan. His return run hasn’t been super spectacular but he can still go and the look on his face at the 2020 Rumble says it all.

For me, one of the greatest all round performers WWE has ever had. As a comedy heel, as a proper heel, as a good guy, top stuff in every way. One of those guys that no matter what position he was in, he played his role to perfection and I think he may be a bit overlooked with him being in the same era as Cena/Orton/Batista etc, but I put him above everyone of those guys. That's just my opinion.

I respect everything he’s done but he’s never been one of my favorites. Loved his TLC matches and him slapping Cenas dad though.

I have said this many times on the Classic board…I like Edge, but the guy is looked at through rose colored glasses. He is overrated. Yes, he was a solid wrestler, but I highly doubt he wouldn’t have half his title reigns he had if there wasn’t a brand split where they need two champions. I do feel for the most part had there only been the one champion competing on both brands the person that was his champion counter part during those title reigns would have been the one champion. I’m not saying he wouldn’t eventually be the guy had he not been forced to retire. Up to that point of his career he was solid, but benefited from a watered down championship pool. And unless he was still employed by the WWE for all those years he was retired how can he be celebrating 25 years?

Edge in the Attitude Era was great, his stuff in The Brood and his team with Christian was gold.
In The RA Era he was one of the greatest heels and I enjoyed his title reigns as The Rated R Superstar. He is by far a huge pillar of the 2000's.
Now, I haven't really enjoyed his current run. He is a nostalgia act who no one has benefited from. He has hardly put anyone over and he had no business winning the Rumble at number 1.
Another issue I have with current Edge is that he is out of place as a face. I mean no disrespect but Edge was never a huge draw who filled arenas. People paid to see Edge get his ass kicked by the likes of Cena & Taker. He was basically the villain who held the title hostage from the heroes who the fans loved.
I'm not dissing Edge at all but he had a role back in the day and played it perfectly.

Yeah he was still under contract throughout 2012-2019 and made many appearances during those years until he finally got cleared to return in 2020… I’m mainly shocked how he debuted 25 years ago and is still wrestling despite retiring for nearly a whole 10 years.
