Many of my friends on social media are reporting that Mike Halac, AKA Mantaur passed away today. No cause of death was given. I know a lot of workers, along with myself, who worked with him a few times and he was always a nice guy.
RIP!
Update:
ike Halac, aka the wrestler formerly known as Mantaur in WWF, has passed away aged 55. The news was shared by Eric Simms of ESS Promotions on Facebook, who had booked Mantaur to appear at an upcoming event. Simms also posted a heartfelt message for the wrestling veteran's family.
"I am sad to report that Mike Halac who played the character Mantaur has passed away. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We had Mike booked for 90s wrestling con sept 30 and a full weekend of bookings that weekend. RIP Mantaur."
The cause of death hasn't been confirmed at the time of this writing. According to WrestleTalk, however, Halac's daughter, Demi, revealed that he passed away peacefully in his sleep. She also took comfort in the fact that he is no longer suffering from pain.

Damn, looks like he passed after complications from after a fall.
Former WWE Superstar Mike Halac, aka Mantaur, passed away after suffering a back injury, Sportskeeda Wrestling's Dr. Chris Featherstone can confirm.
Halac was taken to hospital after sustaining a fall on Tuesday. The former wrestler initially feared he may have broken the sixth (T-6) or seventh (T-7) thoracic vertebrae in his back. Hours later, he sadly passed away in his sleep at the age of 55.

Very sad to hear rip.
I know he was a parody of Vader but he had a unique look.

i remember going to fanfest(or whatever it was called) the day of wrestlemania 11 at the hartford civic center. my dad and i had stopped at the wendy's there for a quick bite and i saw mantaur sitting at a table devouring a burger. i pointed him out to my dad and he told me to go up and get an autograph. even back then at 11ish years old, i knew that it wasn't a good time to do that.
not to discount seeing him wrestle on tv, but that's my biggest memory of mantaur. i'm actually shocked at his age, just wayyy too young to go. r.i.p. to him

Very sad to hear rip. I know he was a parody of Vader but he had a unique look. I never knew he was meant to be a rib on Big Van Vader, but it makes sense since Vader used to be Bull Power and their helmets looked similar.
