Lesnar, 100% Lesnar. I didn’t grow up watching with Goldberg at his peak, and all I have seen of him I’ve been disappointed. Brock is still brilliant to this day, and still one of the best WWE’s produced. Brock will always go down as a legend... what an athlete

Brock by leaps and bounds. He's arguably the most versatile athlete WWE has ever had. He's has many more classic matches that Goldberg. Granted, he needed to grow as a character and he really didn't get comfortable on the mic until the last few years, but he was always destined for headliner status. I don't mean to suggest that I wasn't occasionally entertained by Goldberg, but Brock is on an entirely different level.

Is there any name that could seriously stand up to Lesnar?

I will say that I do enjoy a good Goldberg spear. He was wreckin them WCW jobbers.
But he was only good for 3-4 minutes and two big moves. Once he got beat it was over with. His return match with Brock in 2016 was fun but he could’ve hung em up after that and most people probably wouldn’t have complained

Goldberg for me since his impact during the Monday night wars was huge and he was over in WCW.

Brock Lesnar is in the Top 5 of all time for WWE, in my opinion.

Bill Goldberg was one of the worst to do it on a big stage.

Both have periods where they are linked to being in the business just for the cash, but if both are also linked to other periods in their careers where they really enjoyed what they were doing, Brock's "in it for the love of the game" period would be stronger, longer, more notable (especially what he's been doing between 2021 and 2023). I think both prefer shoot sports like MMA and football, both are connected to a lot of great nostalgic moments in the '90s (only Goldberg was present in this decade), '00s, and even '10s and '20s, both have worked all the biggest names around (and each other), but Brock has come closer to actually enjoying being in the business. Brock is, I think, also way more of a freak athlete, has given back more, done more jobs, and can a work a more taxing style (Brock also eventually learned to sell, did better facials, etc.). I like Goldberg a lot, but yeah, Brock absolutely takes it.
They'll always be compared though. I think the night after WMX8, as Brock was making his debut, people in the crowd were already chanting "Goldberg!" in comparison.
