Continuing on with Rumble stuff during season...
Would you guys say that this was one of the GOATS? Great? Good? Bad? Lame? Epic? Classic? Overrated? Underrated?
For me, it was easily one of the best & a huge breath of fresh air. Just amazing stuff. I'd say its easily the best of the 2010s, also better than many from the 2000s,90s,80s,2020s etc.
It had Reigns,Cena,Orton,Rey,Balor,Nakamura, Hurricane,Rusev,Sheamus, Bray,Slater, New Day,Dolph, Rollins,Goldust etc. Lots of top guys, new guys, established guys etc.

2017 & 2018 were good in that they got rid of the stink the match had from 2013-2016

This was awesome, but nothing else really stands out for me. In terms of recent Rumbles it's between 2020 and 2023 for the best.

Meh it was ok/slightly above averags.
Womens rumble was mostly a mess. Surprise appearances were nice but lets just say a certain someone on here probably pulled out all their hair with how many women dropped out to the floor and stayed there during that match.
Mens rumble was decent.
Pros - Balor good some good spotlight, the Slater bit was funny, Nakamura winning was good (probably tainted a bit because of how quickly his stock fell following the rumble win), Mysterio return was nice. The "Kofi Spot" actually worked (I think for the last time). The "New Era" vs. "RA Era" was cool. Cons - Ziggler being 30 made no sense - quit SD, relinquished the US title and then just showed up in the Rumble and never mentioned it again - whole angle was weird and fans sounded more confused than interested. Reigns overpowering again, was during the "shove as much of that down our throats as you could" era. Aiden English, Titus O'Neill and Goldust entrances late were pointless, no one cared by that point. Cena burying Elias again did him no favors.

Loved the New Era vs RA Era moment.
Looking back I kinda wish Nakamura didn't win, it led to nothing and began the downfall of his career.

Wrestling Observer sentiment takes years off a wrestler’s age to preserve their “young guy” stat, so Finn was 19 here and Nakamura was 23. Thus every time Roman Reigns has ever beaten Finn Balor, he was burying the young guys.

It felt more like a changing of the guard than anything to do with age. Nakamura, Reigns and Balor had about 8 years on the main roster between them. Rey, Cena and Orton had all been there since 2002.

Yeah I wouldn't really say it was about age but more like a new era in the main event scene.

If the match went the same exact way but had any other winner other than Nakamura, nobody would be talking about it. He was just what was in at the time.

They were right about alot kids here if this rumble is considered good. I been watching since the 80s lol ... but 2018 was actually good tbh. For the modern era of course and its way better than a lot of the 90s, which I saw all of em live. The 90s is my fav decade but it had some bad Rumbles...99,95,96. I like 97 & 98 but many hated those Rumbles and consider the recent ones to be much better.
