It seems like such a no-brainer. is there anything preventing AEW/Jazzwares from making this happen? I'm sure a Taz in his prime would be a home run.

The line just isnt selling and many stores have stopped carrying it. The line has it's issues, but new series and figures are being announced. I'm not sure what retailers have stopped carrying it. Gamestop? Walmart and Target still carry the figs. Not what other stores in the US carry them. Anyway, hoping Jazzwares can get it's act together and produce this fig.

I thought my target store stopped carrying unmatched because they went to clearance and were gone for months, but they just got reset and added to the planogram with both unrivaled and unmatched. Hoping for good things for the line, but the distribution has really hurt

It’s been at the top of my most wanted list since the line started. Very bummed one hasn’t been released or announced.
It probably goes back to them being overly cautious in legend looks like Owen. A throwback Taz would be pretty close to what he looked like in ECW/WWE I’d imagine.
..That being said please make a Luminaries Taz

Classic Taz and old school Sting are long overdue.

Probably because of the licensing. They more than likely can’t make attires that were only worn wore in WCW, WWE and ECW. That’s probably why we haven’t gotten old school Sting, Taz and why Jericho’s was the attire we got. Still doesn’t explain why they Blade Runners Sting the mention or Sting in his crow singlet haven’t been made. I mean he wore the singlet at least one in AEW. But they keep giving us the tshirt figures.

Only way that is happening is if we get a return match that they can point to. Imagine Taz in a singlet today...

What they CAN do is create enough legal headaches that cost time and money that Jazwares doesn't have. When they were regularly releasing product, Magic made it pretty clear they aren't going to touch anything with even a tangential tie to any library WWE owns, hence the Mexico Jericho and Japan Owen. At this point inclusion of any legends has been a huge disappointment. But the line can't even get figures out for the current AEW product. Any kind of legit luminaries program is a total pipedream at this point.

Sure they can do that with Owen and Jericho because their gear has designs, but Taz wore a plain black singlet with one logo on the back sometimes. They can absolutely make a luminary Taz

But from some of the comments from Jazwares it sounds like they wouldn't even touch someone like Arn, who is literally wearing plain trunks and a Members Only jacket. At this point I'll be pleasantly surprised just to see a few more Luminaries beyond Punk.
