It's HHH. He's not going to go to bat for Cody. Why would he? Cody was a loser who went elsewhere and started shoveling shet all over HHH, his reputation, career and his legacy. He started another company with the hopes of chopping down HHH's reign of power and control. He would openly mock HHH on TV and PPVs. And when none of that worked he went crawling back to HHH. Had things worked out for Cody he'd still be in AEW taking those same shots and HHH knows that. If HHH could still wrestle we all know they'd have a Mania match and HHH would have won. That's not an option though now so HHH will just find another way to do what he does. Slipping Rock into Cody's spot and cucking him on live tv sounds very much like something HHH would HAPPILY do to Cody. If HHH wanted to I'm sure he could sit down with TKO executives and lay out the story they've been planning, the ratings bumps, increase in merch sales, increase in ticket sales, videos of fan reactions, social media views etc. and make an easy case for Cody. Financially you can cash ONE payday with The Rock, or have a money printing machine in Cody. But why would HHH do that? If you had the power to back an old coworker who you got along with or an old coworker who trashed you when they were gone and then came back, who would you choose? If you were as vindictive as HHH, who would you choose? You must be living under a rock with Dwayne 😉 Hunter has openly and repeatedly endorsed Cody as their guy to be out there with the fan, making the wishes, and doing the PR. Cody didn’t “crawl” back, much like his counter part Dwayne has now done. Cody was contacted by Vince and Co. so much so that they came to him. Is the rock a quick cash grab and main stream media attention getter, sure. Will those people care to keep up with the week to week after seeing the headline, nope. Roman and Rock are going to be unmerciful boo’ed out of the stadium at Mania. Maybe Roman will get cheers, but Rock pigeon holed himself into the same spot that Randy and Batista were in at WM30. No one wants to see this take precedence over Cody and the culmination of “Finishing the story”. Rock breaks records though, he now holds the esteemed honor of having the most disliked video on WWE socials.

I went from being excited about Mania to not in a span of a week.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but I feel like outside of whatever is going on with Gunther, Mania this year is going to suck ass.

You should be use to WM main events with Roman being boo’d out of the building by this point. Won’t be any different than WM32, 33, and 34.

So is Rock about to dive deep “in the weeds” with WWE creative? These reports are very concerning to me. Everyone knows The Rock is an egomaniac - so it wouldn’t surprise me.

We know everyone and their mother is going to be watching this match regardless. People wanted The Rock vs Reigns for years, now we’re finally getting it. At first I wasn’t on board, but after a few years of anticipation and the head of the table storyline I’m excited. It comes back in a full circle to the family. I honestly thought that the Cody promo last night was trash and they should of just had not gotten peoples hopes up with Cody winning the Rumble and staring down Reigns. It would of lessened the blow. I could guarantee you if Cody were to beat Reigns at Wrestlemania after a few months everyone would turn on him and complain about him being a boring champion. It always happens. WWE should of pulled the trigger on Cody last year. None of this I lose and then redeem myself to win predictably in the next Mania.

I don't know about that guy but my buddy that owns his own toy shop has told us if the main event is Roman/Rock he's not having his annual WM party this year which would be fine with me, I don't watch much of the current product anyway, I'm busy watching 1990 WWF.

You know, say what you want about Hogan. But atleast he was still an active wrestler when he was at the height of his egomaniac days. Sure, going over Shawn in 2005 was abit wild. But atleast that didn't ruin a 2 year build. It's kind of insane how out of touch Rock is with all of this.

And I say that with 0 sarcasm. Atleast Knight is interesting, Rock just repeats his 5 catchphrases and is gassed by the end of it.

The problem is that the marks wanted to ignore reality.
The reality is that Roman is going to break Hogan’s record.
The reality is that they've been trying to book Roman vs Rock at Wrestlemania for the last 2-3 years.
The reality is wrestling is about making money, and there's a crap ton more money having the rock instead of cody
Consider yourselves lucky. Cody would have lost at Wrestlemania against roman.

Truthfully, Rock Vs Roman will draw more money than Cody finishing his story.
This is TKO/endeavours first Mania, they want to cash in so having one of the biggest stars in Hollywood in the main event makes sense.
Also, Cody vs Rollins could be a potential classic, it's a win win imo.

Rhodes choosing the injured guy is some strange booking for a babyface
