Truthfully, Rock Vs Roman will draw more money than Cody finishing his story. This is TKO/endeavours first Mania, they want to cash in so having one of the biggest stars in Hollywood in the main event makes sense. Also, Cody vs Rollins could be a potential classic, it's a win win imo. Thing about Rollins vs Cody is....we've seen it. In a trilogy....Seth was soundly beaten by an injured Cody. Rhodes choosing the injured guy is some strange booking for a babyface Wouldn't it be something if we see a double turn and Cody becomes a delusional Homelander heel?

Roman will be champion going into 2025. He must finish HIS story first. And so it is written, so it shall come to the pass. Quote the tribal chief, acknowledge he.

It's HHH. He's not going to go to bat for Cody. Why would he? Cody was a loser who went elsewhere and started shoveling shet all over HHH, his reputation, career and his legacy. He started another company with the hopes of chopping down HHH's reign of power and control. He would openly mock HHH on TV and PPVs. And when none of that worked he went crawling back to HHH. Had things worked out for Cody he'd still be in AEW taking those same shots and HHH knows that. If HHH could still wrestle we all know they'd have a Mania match and HHH would have won. That's not an option though now so HHH will just find another way to do what he does. Slipping Rock into Cody's spot and cucking him on live tv sounds very much like something HHH would HAPPILY do to Cody. If HHH wanted to I'm sure he could sit down with TKO executives and lay out the story they've been planning, the ratings bumps, increase in merch sales, increase in ticket sales, videos of fan reactions, social media views etc. and make an easy case for Cody. Financially you can cash ONE payday with The Rock, or have a money printing machine in Cody. But why would HHH do that? If you had the power to back an old coworker who you got along with or an old coworker who trashed you when they were gone and then came back, who would you choose? If you were as vindictive as HHH, who would you choose? You must be living under a rock with Dwayne 😉No, I live in a condo in Toronto with my girlfriend. Hunter has openly and repeatedly endorsed Cody as their guy to be out there with the fan, making the wishes, and doing the PR.HHH used to prop guys up as important stars and then bury them by beating them in the ring. Now he props Cody up and buries him with his executive powers and you think that's any different? It's hilarious how people think HHH changed when he traded in his tights for a tie. Cody didn’t “crawl” back, much like his counter part Dwayne has now done. Cody was contacted by Vince and Co. so much so that they came to him.
For all of the things Cody pissed and whined and complained about, the ball was 100% in HIS COURT whether he wanted to sell himself out and go back, and he did. HHH wasn't shet talking Cody. Vince wasn't shet talking Cody. They saw an opportunity to benefit themselves and hurt AEW and brought him back. Cody was the one who would have to look himself in the mirror and go back to the people who he said treated him like shet. If he didn't go back Vince and HHH would have said goodbye, but Cody crawled back. Vince could have "finished the story" and made Cody Champion last year after bringing him back and pushing him to the stars........... But he didn't. This year HHH could have "finished the story" by making Cody champion after continuing to push him to the stars.......... But he didn't. Would Vince and/or HHH hold a grudge against someone who shet on them outside the company, hire them because it will make the company money, and then humiliate that person, hold them back etc....? Is the rock a quick cash grab and main stream media attention getter, sure. Will those people care to keep up with the week to week after seeing the headline, nope.Exactly. And who better to go and explain that to the men in charge than HHH? So either the article is correct and HHH is intimidated by The Rock? Or does HHH just not want to go to the wall for a guy who dragged him publicly for years? Roman and Rock are going to be unmerciful boo’ed out of the stadium at Mania. Maybe Roman will get cheers, but Rock pigeon holed himself into the same spot that Randy and Batista were in at WM30. No one wants to see this take precedence over Cody and the culmination of “Finishing the story”.I'd love to hear, "CODY" chants. Rock breaks records though, he now holds the esteemed honor of having the most disliked video on WWE socials. It's a solid icon vs icon match with some personal aspects to add to the story. I think the build between the 2 will be much better than the actual match though. I really don't care to see them wrestle because there is NO WAY Rock wins. Going into the match I will already know all I have to look forward to afterwards is more Roman as Champion. I'm basically 100% sure Cody would win the same way I'm 100% sure Roman would beat Rock, but I also have a Cody run afterwards to look forward too.

If this goes down like it looks I strongly suspect that Dwayne does indeed beat Reigns for the title at Wrestlemania,Cody beats Rollins(hopefully turns into a triple threat with Drew McIntrye where he can eat the pin instead of Seth Rollins) the night before for the World Title. You set up then Rock/Rhodes at SummerSlam for the WWE Title where Cody finishes his story by beating Rock and winning the WWE Title finally. You can have Cody drop the World Title somewhere along the way to SummerSlam via a Priest cash in or failed cash in,someway where multiple people are involved to protect Cody during a title change.
As far as Reigns/Rhodes II goes you can have that at Survivor Series or finally have the rematch at Wrestlemania 41 where we also get Rollins/Punk as well aka the two matches we should have gotten this year.

This is the WWE's equivalent to Sting vs Hulk Hogan at Starrcade 1997.

Best solution to this in my mind is Roman fights the rock on night 1 and the winner faces Cody on night 2 where he finally gets to finish his story

Cody vs Paul for the US belt. That's good enough, right?

I am simply loving all of this. As much of a bridge-dwelling troll Trips is, I'm still holding onto the possibility this will end up being some sick burn on the "smarks" in the end lol. It is amusing how much people crumble at the first instance of WWE forsaking their voices. For years those who attempted to hold WWE to a higher standard and view with a critical lens were chastised, minimalized, and mostly chased away from the product. WWE has been called out for this tendency for years, yet it's a surprise when they get left in the cold all the same.
